It is rather interesting and a little baflfing that whilst every covid stock is roofing we continue to drift down. I think weare all scratching our heads at this. I can understad underperforming slightly, but it's got to the point of being utterly confusing. Not sure when it will turn, but can't keep drifting civen the earnings and expansion. How many days now in the last few months have we been the only red covid share, or the worst performing, virtually every day. Time to switch those algo computers off, because this price just screams take me over. At this rate Avacta will be using their rainbow money to buy us out!

@JGCW, comments such as that aren't going to get anyone on here to sell I am afraid. Those left are either invested for the long haul, or have entered at a low price. Either way no one has any interest in selling at this level. But feel free to keep trying to push that agenda...

I expect they will deliver it along with the full year accounts in April, so ties in with the Q2 comment. Not good enough in my view though. You can't do the current years forecast in april of the same year. I know it is an unual world we are in, but that really is poor form, hand to mouth stuff. We are a midcap company in the making, just need to tweak their communication and we'll get there. I suspect they learnt alot from the last reaction to their update and going foreards it will be much better.

But taking care of business as a CEO also involves providing a clear roadmap, and forecast. Both of which we are still waiting on for 2021, even though we are now in March 2021... Great on operational business and getting business done, truely awful at communication and guidance. Both need to be done well for a company to excel.

Only one of the portfolios was over 3%, the remaining 2.65% was on other blackrock portfolios. In total they have 5.67%. That's not updated for a week or so though so could be higher/lower now depending on their trading.

I had it at 5% across different blackrock portfolios, so maybe there is no need to TR1 it as its not the same trading entity. Not that it matters, people put too much emphasis on who owns what, distracts from the fundamentals.

What we need is something to blow this out of the water. Last few months have been woeful, and yet the money keeps rolling in for NCYT. We need some stimulus to blast the price up and bring all the people in sat on the sidelines. Each day i wake up expecting the red dot, maybe it will be this afternoon, tomorrow.... Once we get a proper jump there wont be any turning back, and I have no interest in being out of this when that happens.

Unfortunately we have proven already then when lockdown is eased many people take loberties with guidelines and infections rapidly increase. It will be the same this time. Good for NCYT and testing, bad for people and particularly the vulnerable. But it's a balance, lives versus the economy.

Agreed, a lack of info in this case given all the noise and high profile meetings, plus recruitment for nhs points to a big contract on the table. I do still seethe a little about the trading update not giving any guidance. We are in March, and still dont have any guidance for this year, that is school boy amateur stuff. If you are going to move updates from monthly to 6m, then youd better make then good and comprehensive. What I suspect is we will get an nhs contract rns next week, with a tag on line saying supports our long term growth, and on track to deliver better revenue than last year etc. Shouldnt have been needed, but we are where we are. Next rns should put it to bed.

Cheers Shaun. Interesting thoughts on under utilisation of nhs contract. If that is the case, and yet we still exceeded broker forecasts, that suggests we have much higher foreign sales than we think, as it has offset any nhs shortfall. Impossible to know without seeing the full accounts of course

Unfortunately I imagine it will be the same when we open up in the UK again. We never learn. Good for Novacyt as there will be more infections and more testing, bad for the country and people. But at least people can go on holiday eh, terrible decision making at the top again.

Hi Shaun, welcome back. What's your view on when the 24 week phase 1 contract runs out. I have it as a week on tuesday (24 weeks from the RNS), but I've not built in any wiggle room. If that is a firm date then I'd expect the contract extension update next week, with hopefully a few additional services that are being rolled out added on top.

The long and short of it is we are so far undervalued against the fundamentals and financial metrics that we are now likely one of the number one targets for a takeover (why that is I will leave to the conspiracy theorists). This wasnt the case a few months ago. So we have 2 possible outcomes. Either the company boosts the share price through the expected contracts / guidance, which in my view will come in the next week or two, or we will get bought out. What that buyout price is is anyones guess, but I wont accept anything less than mulpiles of this unjustifiably low mcap.

I have the existing contract running out a week on Tuesday (unless theres some small print Ive missed), so would expect an extension / new contract before then. Next week probably

I am honestly sick to death of people whinging about other investors causing them to make wrong decisions. Quite frankly if you use another persons views to make a trading decision you deserve to lose every penny you have. An investor who trades on the back of others views is a like a gambler taking a tipsters tip. Get a grip of yourselves, if you make money great, if you lose money suck it up and understand why you did and learn from it. My god some people on here are truely woeful, that's directed at you for one Fireblade, grow up.

Or they are buying ahead of a takeover. Don't want to start that rumour mill again, but one of the bigger players starts aggresively building a position then its certainly got more legs to it

Actually I take that back, they do but it's split by different blackrock holdings. 3.02% by Blackrock Advisors Ltd, 1.67% by Blackrock Investment management, and 0.99% by Blackrock Institutional trust, so they have 5.68% according to reuters

Makes sense they are adding, have alot of confidence in NCYT, as we all do. The holding hasn't updated on my reuters terminal yet, but they tend to lag Bloomberg. B'berg is a much better software package overall.

What's with the need to discuss individual posters pros and cons? It's not a school playground folks. Let everyone have their own view, and lets all make money from our excellent investment in NCYT.

Dont forget it is the budget today and theyve already said testing will be a big part of it, could be a very interesting afternoon
