I think you are willfully ignoring the communication failures there... Whilst i agree not every contract, and every PI concern should be addresed by the board, I also believe that as a company you should at least know what your target revenues are and sales estimates in the current year of trading. We are nearly in May and we still have no guide to 2021, show me a single company that provides no guidance even within year, just one example... I don't want to know every 100k contract win, I do want to know a £10m contract win, e.g. Ukraine. As we stand that 10m in nearly 4% of our mcap, that is materially significant. How many others are there of similar sizes, which countries are the sales coming from? We do not know, however that is clearly more and more important the lower the mcap.

As a company we have excelled in innovation and adaptation, but equally as a company we have failed in communication and self promotion. Now luckily the latter is easily fixable with the right people in place, the former much harder to replicate. We will be fine in the long run, but until we get some clear details on the issues, and the opportunities we will continue to be solely at the mercy of sentiment, and right now thats only going one way. It's going to create opportunities for sure, but we need some real positive info/update from the company, otherwise this drop wont stop in the near term.

So you are not confused about expected earnings this year, or expected sales this year (not talking 2025, but this year). Are you also not baffled about what the contract disagreement is about? Are you telling me you are sitting there having seen the share price fall from £12 to £4, with the information that has been made available to us by the company, and do not consider their communication to be lacking in content, and that you have thorough knowledge of this years expectations? I find it downright remarkable people defend the communication and blame it on retail investors wanting more info, when even the brokers can't forecast because they dont know whats going on! It's unacceptable communication, defend it all you want but someones head is on the block here. I doubt Blackrock and the other major funds are going to sit quietly having lost tens of millions!

The problem at the moment as we have no idea what is going on. What is the contract disagreement revolve around, what value. What are we tendering for, what is our future plan and future targets. What are all the new staff being hired for. There are a million and one questions, and we have no answers. It is incredibly difficult to say what the price should be as there are so many missing pieces that go a long way to forming the valuation. It is in Novacyts hands and its ability to provide some of these pieces on info and yet it chooses not to. Baflfing communications from them, utterly baffling.

Any formal takeover approach has t be announced to the market as per market rules, can't just keep in quiet as that is highly illegal.

You've got to say that the bad news is all out of the way now. We've got certainty on the contract extension or not, the brokers have done their thing. Whats the likely next news events, tender wins, private deals, or if not then no news. We arent waiting on the DHSC with baited breath now. let it settle then we should see the upside return.

Come on you know Nova don't do positive updates, it's not how they roll. I am starting to question the leadership in NCYT, the performance has been horrendous this year. Hope they aren't expecting any form of shareholder approval for a bonus because it wont be forthcoming. At this rate it wont be long before a new management is in place, can't live off past glories forever.

If ever there was a time for a comprehensive operational update it is now. Give us info on what the company strategy is going forwards, how they are going to improve the valuation. We won't get it of course because they won't give us info unless it destroys value. We are all ****ed off losing thousands, imagine how the funds feel losing millions. There's alot of explaining to do and alot of repair work needed. It had better start Monday am, or personally I may finally call it a day on good ship ncyt and actually all covid plays too.

We are still earning £150m a year as we stand exc dhsc. Add new revenue streams and could be 200-250m this year, plus c120m in the bank... If we aren't valued correctly, simply buy back shares with that 120m or pay a huge special divi.

@Steve and AK, it really is an odd one, and yet again we are left guessing. My only positive take from today (and its not much of one) is we can finally stop this obsession with big Central contracts, and now focus on the actual sales growth. The contract renewal issue has held us back all year and destroyed value. At least there is certainty now.

A question I have is why hire so many new people when you have just lost half your business. Any idea what they are going to do to add value?

Err 'Even a fool could have sold some covid tests'. tell that to the ODX, GDR, AVCT CEOS and their sky high valuations on jack all sales. Amazes me they didn't also get destroyed today, especially GDR. The DHSC basically said they'd got all the PCR they need this year.

They may have made 100m in cash, but they've lost £618m in shareholder value. Which do you consider the greater achievement this year?

Am I the only one that thinks going ahead with these webinars, all the glossy twitter promotions are taking the p1ss? We've seen out share price go from £12 to £4 in 3 months. Isn't their time spent better actually trying to add value to the company rather than destroying it. Enough already with the promotional nonesense and focus on making us some bloody money.

OK so after selling at 570 I'm back in. Worked out the numbers and seems overdone the fall. MCAP now near expected cash and 1 years income exc dhsc, so can't stay out at this level.

Basically they are saying no more NHS sales this year, as pro mote sales in Q1 are enough for all 2021. But the c£36 Q1 sales are private sales and they hope they will grow. But no firm guidance again...

We all know there is more pcr business to be had. But the wording in that RNS speaks volumes. Legal dispute with the NHS and values lower than expected. Is it undervalued yes, but not as much as before that announcement. yet again massive uncertainty n revnues, cluster f1ck of an update

Issue is if we are disputing a current contract, there is zero chance of getting a new contract with them due to legal issues, so basically kiss goodbye to all NHS testing. Why they've done it, god only knows
