I see from your most recent post that the tweet has been deliberately misquoted / edited in the article i linked to earlier, which excludes the words:

These words provide some context for her feelings at the time. (Not an excuse)

These words were not written in addition to the tweet as presented in the guardian. They have been selectively edited out of the centre of the message.

Editing the message to misrepresent the author to its readership. Not impressed.

Don't know what being married to a Conservative councilor has got to do with anything tbh.

It should only feature in the main headline if there were a pattern of events featuring Conservative councilors, or those related to them, committing similar crimes.

The press / Gov / police etc are rather less forthcoming about distorted ideological beliefs that have motivated certain individuals to commit murder. The Conservative angle just reads like a smear.

No issue with it being in the article at all, it would be remiss to not include it, but it is not THE story, so shouldn't feature in the main headline.

This is not a criminal gang leader organising a siege. Its a mum, perhaps scared for the safety of her own, and other children.

Completely inapropriate, but given human nature and the maternal instinct, hardly a shocking reaction in the context imo.
