Guardian now have the story.

"Keir Starmer was given a further £16,000 worth of clothes by the Labour peer Waheed Alli, which was declared as money for his private office, the Guardian can reveal.

The donations, comprising £10,000 in October 2023 and £6,000 in February 2024, bring the total amount in gifted clothes to £32,000.

These latest gifts were not previously known about as they were described as being “for the private office of the leader of the opposition”.

The spurious mention of associated cost savings in the RNS is amateurish - that some shareholders have latched onto this remark to suggest that Lonny has been sacked in order to save money is farcical imo.

The company has been struggling to perform the basic functions of exploration with Lonny onboard, one thing they are not is overstaffed. Shareholders have endured one delay after another as a direct consequence of the fact.

Now brushed off as baggage?

With the company on the cusp of a huge rerate, his salary too burdensome to endure?

Exploration is a casino, attempting to deligitimise a persons opinion based on the performance of a single investment in a high risk sector is rather silly imo.

If a persons investment history is of such importance to you, particularly in terms of the weight it lends to their opinion, i have some rather terrifying news for you as regards some of the prophets resident on this BB.

If you want a genuine discussion, stick to the issues.

Ordinarily, a few warm words would be expected from the managing director in order to protect the SP.

Lonny has declined to make any such comment, suggestive of some degree of acrimony.

Even if the subtext were market sensitive, or the disagreement severe - one might expect some reassuring comment to soften the news.

Yet Lonny has offered no such support, nor given Paul permission to pen a few token words on his behalf.

More broadly, management obviously endeavour to put a positive spin on any such announcement, so in terms of presentation, this rather ambiguous update is what they deem least damaging given the circumstances.

Not very reassuring is it.

Got through the Helix update in a few sittings.

Impressive stuff.

They are both very open, which is a refreshing change.

In terms of exploration, this looks about as good as it gets.

Very little is actually said about what is supposed to be our primary focus, the company making testing programme.

There is no mention of Sandjet, nor the degree to which it has proven able?

In contrast, a great deal is said about a high risk low CoS drilling opportunity, Trinidad, and helium potential.

Focusing on the RNS, and ignoring the creative writing class which ensues after each update -

I would say it is marginally more likely than not that initial indications are either somewhat below expectation, or that some measure of difficulty has been encountered, or both.

Measures are now being taken to enhance reservoir performance as a consequence.

The testing programme also now requires extension to compensate.

The significance of flow assurance has likely increased due to the complexity thus far observed, hence the emphasis.

Plenty of other targets to investigate, but in essence, yet further delay.

That's my best guess, understand its going to annoy people.

Its very difficult to account for what is not said in these updates, and even more difficult to read what is - without concern.

Some like to actively manage their exposure.

Just ensure you are comfortable with your own holding and cognisant of the downside.
