It would be surprising to have the TD RNS early, drilling unlikely to be ahead of the schedule even if it isn’t behind. I’m not expecting one before Monday but I’m assuming it will be a bit later, as summary will need to be very carefully worded and signed off at board level.

Still some short selling going on, still looking for a lower price. Gets riskier as the drill gets closer to news. Looks like drilling is on to the final sections now, so probably still on schedule. Would be risky to be out over the weekend for anyone who needs to be in.

Yes, could be, and as you say they will have plenty stored around as you can see in arial shots. But if they’re successfully onto the 8.5” section as planned then that’s great news as the more dodgy geological conditions will be largely above that.

They would likely have racked up a batch of lengths on the skate to work with. There’s one on the drill and only one left on the rack this morning, so probably 150’ or so of that batch down the well?

That’s what I was hoping to hear. As usual, the daily Tweets give all the clues without having to make definitive statements to the market. We don’t have a copy of the well design but hopefully the photo means 17.5” section is now complete and we’re on to much faster daily progress now to TD at 8.5”

Great to see those shiny new drill sections heading down the well. Staff on the control desk, only one section left on the rack, looks like they’re still turning away as planned. Hard to judge the diameter from that shot.

Brian - there will be an RNS shortly after TD and you would expect that to summarise the geological conditions and any significant gas shows from the continuous mid logging and onsite spectrometry. The second phase is different. They remove the drill rig and shift it to over to Itumbula, in the meantime there is wire logging and gas sampling taken for independent analysis. Definitely two news points. Assuming there is a ‘discovery’ then there would be a future programme to appraise the well for commercial production (remembering that they’ve already drilled it for appraisal, it’s not an exploration well). Everyone knows they found helium at Tai last time, that’s why they’re drilling with a full rig this time.
