Kevin - under the Market Abuse Regulations, inside information includes any information of a precise nature, relevant to a financial instrument, including listed shares, which "has not been made public [and] ...if it were made public, would be likely to have a significant effect on the prices of those financial instruments...". Moreover, "If there is a leak, the inside information should be released to the market as soon as possible using an appropriate method, even if this requires an announcement during market hours."
