I see on the presentation that the concept budget also includes drilling six production wells anyway (not farming in wells from Noble et al., although I guess it could be an option for cost sharing).

I wonder if the six areas of interest have any coincidental relevance to the development concept proposal for a six well driven purification/liquification plant

Not sure, Itumbula hasn’t been drilled and I guess the revised targeting of Tai was based on in hole data from Tai 1

Slide 8 and 12 in the most recent shareholder presentation. I don’t think the 5.4 2U bcf was revised for Itumbula though (Tai was revised in May this year).

Why don’t you trust the company’s regulated market announcement that the problem should be fixed and drilling again to TD in not more than two weeks? That’s all you need to know as a shareholder.

DJ - slide 25 of the most recent HE1 shareholder presentation already tells you what the development concept is, and with costs (agreed it’s only a concept at this stage but it’s clear). Modular liquification plant with distribution/collection infrastructure (pipes) connecting 6 production wells. I imagine it’s pretty likely that would link up Tai and Itumbula with other Rukwa prospects, like NHE’s Mbelele and possibly the Heritage/Qatari interest.

Clearly the weather patterns are a serious consideration, everyone knows this, it’s been a key factor of the project planning. It is slightly less of a critical path issue for HE1 now with their own rig than for NHE. As others have said, the key issue is moving stuff, rigs, supplies, provisions, crew, etc. Some of those things are easier if you have your camp and kit close to the well pad. There is course a risk of delay but it doesn’t seem likely to affect completion and testing of this well.

The gamble they may need to consider for the move time between sites is how far to strip down the rig. The trucking roads in Tanzania have a strict weight limit, enforced by weigh bridges, so they had to break everything down far more than necessary (same for NHE’s rig). If their own site access road can take the load they might get away with less break down and rigging time between pads. But you wouldn’t want to getting mud locked with a heavy load.

Really Beechknot, you do seem overly obsessed with needing to be reassured on a daily basis. So far, the company comms have been excellent this campaign. If you’re not confident in your investment choices you can sell anytime. If you are then hold or buy. The CEO’s job is to get the drill done as near time and budget as possible and inform the market of price sensitive news. It’s not her job to provide a daily therapy service for nervous PIs.

I don’t think there’s really been múch of a wet season in Rukwa in recent years due to climate change
