Last Thursday 16/Jan evening I pointed out that, if the RKH chart continued the trend that it had set for the last few weeks, then Friday 17/Jan would be an UP day and that it would probably break 40p (which it did .... twice ).

I was going to say that if the trend continues then Monday 20/Jan would be another UP day and it would likely break 42p, followed by a DOWN day on Tuesday.

But with all this news about OM, anything could happen tomorrow. I hope it does not turn out to be 'buy the rumour .... sell the news'.

You forget that this is supposed to be a RKH discussion board ... NOT your RKH Facebook page.

The chart for RKH over the last month doesn't show any single UP days. Each UP day is in a group of 1,2 or 3 UP days followed by 1 or 2 Down days. Tuesday and Wednesday were DOWN days followed by Thursday an UP day. So if the trend continues, RKH should break above 40p today Friday on an UP day.

Back in Oct 2020 RKH was trading for about 4.8p. The lucky people, who bought shares that day, must be amazed to see RKH go up by that amount in just 1 day's trading today. Lots of people ( including me ) must be kicking themselves now for not doing the same thing back then.

Hurricane had a deal with Bluewater that they paid a fixed daily rate for Aoka Mizu plus an amount for every barrel of oil that was lifted. If they have the same arrangement with PRAX then they are probably keen to end it being as how the daily oil production at Lancaster has dropped off so much.

Why ? RKH will still owe the same share of total cost ... unless it takes a smaller % of overall project.

I think Ralph was commenting on my estimate of $2.8 Billion for RKH as a whole, not just the share of Sea Lion.

I meant to say

"RKH must be worth at least TWICE as much as Ithaca was."

I once owned shares in Ithaca @ 21p. They were taken over by Delek for about £1.20 per share plus they had to pay off about $400 million in debt, for a total of about $1.4 Billion.

RKH must be worth at least as much as Ithaca was.

If Delek offered $2,8 Billion for RKH i think most people would jump at it . I know that I would.

If it's not too personal could you tell us why you once flew on the Air Bridge A330 with a cabin full of squaddies.

My understanding is that a majority of RKH shares are in the hands of private investors but the institutions are starting to nibble. Because most private investors have now decided that Sea Lion is definitely going to happen, they are hanging on to their shares, The Institutions are going to have to keep raising their price in order to encourage PIs to let go their shares.

Substantial shareholdings:- Disclosure starts at 3% which means that they don't have to disclose until about 19 Million shares have been purchased.

Hold on to your shares so that they are going to have to keep raising their bid if they want to join the party.

Since I first bought RKH shares, 10 years ago next month, they've always been in the red by. Even after averaging down over the years, I was always in the red ... sometimes by tens of thousands of £s.

But I'm now making £13 and 6p profit and it feels like winning the lottery.

You're right about size of FSO .... I never thought of that. The FPSO, on the other hand, is only 47.5 metres wide and has already passed through Suez before.

SuezMax is Length, 400 m (1,300 ft) (maximum) ; Beam, 77.5 metres (254 ft) (maximum); 50 m (164 ft) (at 20.1 m draft) ; Height, 68 m (223 ft) ...

It's getting more and more difficult to book a slot because of increasing restrictions on transits at the Panama Canal caused by historic drought conditions so the FPS will probably pass through Suez.

Aoka Mizu FPSO upgrade will probably be performed in Dubai, where the upgrade for Hurricane's Lancaster Field was done and so will need to pass through Suez. Once complete it will probably head down below the tip of Africa and not back through Suez.

The Sword of Damocles, hanging over Sea Lion and the Shenandoah project, is the Houthis. Both the FPSO and the FPS will pass through the Red Sea. Using $2,000,000 missiles to shoot down $2000 drones can't go on much longer. Let's hope that Israel can sort them out.

Thanks ITguy. I completely misunderstood how the checkerboarding was going to work. I somehow thought that 22.5% of the blocks would go to Falcon and 77.5% to Tambotan.

ITguy ... I'll ask you the same question in a slightly different way.

Why is Bryan Sheffield so concerned with Checkerboarding ? He doesn't hold any land rights in the Beetaloo does he ?

Maybe he's waiting to take over FOG so that he can drill his own wells separate from Tamboran.
