I agree ... it's a very "Interesting Sunday morning read"

At first I thought that it was the deal that was causing TBN sp to rise so much but now I think that really it is the announcement of FID . The markets opinion of the deal will probably wait until it has been (dis)approved by the share holders.

I haven't worked it out exactly but TBN has risen 3 or 4 times as much as FOG in last 3 days.

The market obviously feels that Tamboran got the better deal.

Will we be able to trade Tamboran shares if we live in the UK ?

Just a small point ... it will have to be towed because it doesn't have its own power.

The turret for the Sea Lion project will require more connections for the umbilicals etc., than it did for Lancaster, and so will be either modified or completely replaced.

The current turret was built in Dubai, where the previous upgrade took place, but I hope that this time it will be built somewhere else such as South Korea ... so as not to go any where near the Houthis.

The article seems to imply that the 250/1 consolidation has already taken place but that is not true surely .... or have I read it wrongly.

I don't see any reason why the shares can't go straight into your ISA ( unless you're already maxed out for current year ISA allowance ) but any warrants will have to go into separate account.

Shame we don't have someone in the British Govt, with similar great ideas.

The Fi election date is now set for 11 December which hopefully will be way after FID.

I was under the impression that the new shares will only be issued if FID is achieved before start of 2026 otherwise they will get their money back ( with interest ). Thus market cap is only £491.92 million at this moment in time.

I agree that, on the face of it, it seems to be an awful placing. But these deals take time to finalize so it was probably set up towards the beginning of July when the SP was in the low 50's and so it probably looked like a better deal at the time.

This news seems disappointing in the short term but will turn into great news eventually. The SP recovery, from the initial dip this morning, seems to indicate that the market agrees.

A big advantage of an FPSO is that they can just lower the turret and sail away ( towed ) without having to hang around waiting for the umbilicals etc, to be disconnected.

It's good to know that the institutions are starting to take an interest because they are the ones who will drive the price up but it's sad that it means that the little investors are selling too soon.

The link by LTT states 'Aragon has been awarded a new contract for pre-FID works on the Aoka Mizu redeployment'.

Aragon is a Norwegian Co. that also has operations in Singapore. Does anyone have any idea if modifications will be carried out in Norway or in Singapore ?

The big drop in SP was probably caused by the announcement concerning need to raise more funds for FID. But the drop started just before 9.00 a.m. even though the meeting didn't start until 10.00 a.m.

Was there a leak maybe ?
