I believe that FIG said that, once the oil money starts rolling in, that they would make major contributions to the cost of keeping British Armed Services and equipment in the Falklands.

Way back, in the early 1960's. Labour PM Harold Wilson decided that we couldn't afford to keep our troops stationed in Kuwait any longer and started to withdraw them. Kuwait begged him to let them stay and offered to pay all the cost. He turned down the offer saying "British troops are not mercenaries" and withdrew them all.

Lets hope Starmer doesn't do the same thing as Wilson.

Why on earth would the US buy oil from the Falklands. The US is the biggest producer of Oil in the world and exports about 10 million barrels of petroleum products per day. The oil it imports is the real heavy grade, mainly from Canada.

A few people on here seem to think that the current price of oil should not make any difference to RKH. What about Shenandoah ?

Navitas are hoping to use a good money flow from Shenandoah oil to help finance Sea Lion.

FI exports about $29m to the states (mostly frozen fish) so the $29 Trillion US economy will take a huge hit now.

It could be that an Institution, that purchased a large number of the warrants @ 9p, has decided to follow Ripley94's advice and 'top slice' a big chunk @ 45p and lock in 400% gain.

Using the link below and choosing 1 Day option, it shows that there seems to be a ceiling set at 45p that it just can't break through. Strangest graph that I've seen for RKR.

Rockhopper said that they will keep their 35% . Navitas will therefor want to keep at least 36% leaving only 29% max for a new partner. I can't imagine any major or medium sized oil company wanting to be a junior partner.

So talk of Shell or BP is nonsense.
