My original comparison was for SP over the calendar year though, and who knows what could happen in the remainder of the year no-one predicted? (unless you count annoying know-alls like the WHO and Bill Gates).

Leak last week? The FT broke this news on 23rd September, saying the project was due to be announced the following week. Instead it's taken four weeks, but anyway worth waiting for! This is a real coup for ORPH, stepping up into another league, and should bring more business. Expansion plans show a change of intent: investment in growth and long term thinking. Well done to all concerned in forging these deals.

I am not aware that I have suggested anything about the comprehensiveness of the hVivo data Citizenlane, or indeed any of the other OO datasets. Your comment might be more appropriate when CF sometimes ignores the comprehensiveness of the data and refers instead to future COVID-19 data which has not yet been gathered, suggesting he is unsure himself about what data the wearables companies might be interested in. The point I actually made was that it is unexplained how or why this historic data can be linked to real time wearable data to produce anything useful. The only thing I can imagine is a one-off AI parse through the data in order to derive an algorithm(s) of some sort, which can then be hard coded into the device and applied to live data. Apple already uses algorithms to derive a surprising range of data from optical heart monitors: far more than just pulse, so it is possible they are exploring ways of extending that approach?

I've been cynical about this since the start, partially due to CFs somewhat limited and inconsistent proclamations on the subject, but always admitted Richywar's point about marketability being different from effectiveness. On that point, high profile work for the UK government should give some kudos to the hVivo brand? Don't see why anyone needs OO databases to confirm a high temperature - surely all you need is a simple thermometer for that? One thing I have possibly been missing is the astonishing development in optical heart sensors: maybe that makes a link to OOs databases slightly more credible, if bio-markers can be discovered in long-term heart data analysis? Seem like a long shot and certainly never stated by CF. Fortunately, there are multiple other sources of revenue, and this one definitely still possible in some form.

Exactly Jimzi, CF is at pains to say he was "lucky" to obtain hVivo, but the explosive transformation in their profile and prospects is almost entirely down to his skills - not just publicity, but an almost supernatural instinct for spotting credible opportunities, nouse in navigating complex regulations, and tenacity in driving deals to completion.
