dunno, the doctors and scientists are unusually bullish - the new technique could lead to a lot more vaccines using that approach. One thing I noticed was Pzfizer head saying they will be following up on patients from these initial tests for 2 years - shows the sort of timescales we're dealing with for potential follow up safety tests and vaccine comparisons. Also, they can manufacture 1.6 billion doses by the end of next year, which only covers about one sixth of world population, so again we're looking at more vaccines, more time, and more safety, efficacy, and comparison tests.
