the next week few weeks here look like they will be packed with newsflow.

we have the delicious potential prospect of a tax loss deal landing combined with significantly improved drill results from tambo.

the first tambo sample was submitted on c. 8th nov and landed on 21st nov with turnarounds running at c. 13 days. so late next week or the week after looks good. we have been told that holes 3 and 4 look like the strongest and hole 1 was already a great start.

we will get an update on lolworth exploration plans before christmas because we were told as much. i strongly believe that a blue mountain update will be in the offing too and there is every chance that the resource will push past 100koz.

added to this were the interesting remarks from mike ******* yesterday over potential external interest coming through on ecr projects towards the end of the year/early 2025. i thought that a strange thing to say unless it is backed by knowledge not yet shared.

i have been saying for a while now that i feel that something left field is coming here and the above may be at the core of it.

things are getting hugely exciting around here.

All good points Tilburn I was merely wishing to share a physical recent example in the helium space for those who may be less technically gifted.

Global Helium well 10-08 is a great recent example of a well that was damaged by "sustained reasonably high near-wellbore damage as a result of drilling fluid and cement entering the formation during drilling operations."

It then flowed at 10x higher rates "following remediation and stimulation to address wellbore damage incurred during the initial drilling" as the company was then able to perforate the larger interval.

This is a good read-across for both the Flathead and the Charles formations. It is just one example but I am sure there are more out there.

This is all about the December trading update and subsequent broker forecasts for 2025.

Last year the update came on 19th December. The messaging in Sept was strong and confidence was high that FY would be in line with forecasts. But the game changer here is their expectation for 2025 and in particular the second half of the year. If they hold their belief that they will reach cash flow positive then things should begin to change around here.

This is a results-based business and no amount of ramping or criticism is going to change that.

HEX will live or die by the results that will land in the coming weeks and no words on this page can change that. I believe they have something worth holding for and will patiently and peacefully await the outcome.

Thanks, Rambo (never thought I'd ever say that). I would stick to the 4,250 thousand cubic feet per day (Mcf/d) for now but that is still a very good number against what you have just provided.

It would be goof to know just how big the Amsden reservoir could be. Being the shallowest I wasn't expecting a large reservoir but they have perforated "over 87ft" which is 160% more than the Flathead. That is not to be sniffed at although a lot more information is required before we get too excited.

By my calculations, we are talking about a £39.8m fund (end of Oct value) of which 1.4% is invested in IES.

That equates to £557,200 which at 16.5p (end of Oct share price) = 3.38m shares.

That's not a lot of overhang if they do indeed sell them down.

I would think that the Mistral launch would clear them if not before.

I am still waiting patiently for the December trading update. They don't need to get much right to have a big effect on the SP. Even on a bad day, this is a 10-15m MC company.

There is a lot of noise being generated about the Charles and Amsden formations when they aren't even critical to the success here.

The target formation for this drill was the Flathead and it has delivered 2.5% but requires stimulation to flow. The BOD is telling us that they believe this is a common procedure in the region and that they have no concerns over flow rates once it is done. At 33ft and 2.5% the Flathead is running better than the scoping study parameters of 35ft and 1.5% helium.

So front end this is all about that stimulation process on the Flathead.

If they manage to also stimulate Charles then it is a pure bonus to the base case.

The reason they haven't published grades for the Amsden formation is that they haven't reached that point yet. They stated from the offset that they "will test multiple formations from the bottom of the hole upwards. If initial results of a perforation are positive the Company will report gas composition to the market and perform an extended well test on the interval before moving on to the next horizon."

They have done that today and with it updated on the other two formations as far as they can. At the point of issuing the RNS, they had flow-tested the Amsden but not established grades. They are still to come. Possibly in the next few days.

But as I say those two formations plus the hydrogen are a pure bonus for holders. It is enough to successfully stimulate the Flathead and achieve commercial flow rates and confidence within the company is high that they will.

I have a feeling many will be back as we approach the trading update which if following last year should be in early January.

My second "be careful" comment was aimed more at the whole conversation and all those involved and was not meant to be confrontational or indeed threatening. Why undermine one's investment by making the debate about ramping the stock rather than focusing on the merits that were raised about the investment?

I was merely encouraging you to take part here in any way you felt you wished to. How you have turned that into intimidation is for you to figure out not me.

@Gallmart (example A) you can bring up whatever you want here. I was merely trying to point out that it is the substance of what was said and not the goal that we should focus on. I will leave it there.

Again I would be careful with this expert's ramping language. Look at the core of what was being said and decide if it was true or not. is this business growing and is the potential that opens up being properly priced into the valuation?

I say a resounding no and the thoughts from the likes of Myles support that.

The journey to multiple returns is a long one with many winding paths. There may well have been some ramping of the SP but most importantly awareness of the business has grown. Don't underestimate how important that could be for the Q4 update and beyond.

@Stalin123 I think it is a real shame that you feel hampered by others (perhaps me being one of them) such that you don't wish to share your concerns. That is the cornerstone purpose of such forums.

I have invested a lot of time in this investment because I think it's worth it but that doesn't mean I have all the answers. The same goes for all of us.

Thank you for the orders update it is another signal of what the next 12 months should deliver.

I wouldn't underestimate the next Lolworth update where ECR have stated,

"A further update on the Lolworth Project will be provided before the end of this calendar year, including management's proposed next exploration steps."

Lolworth and Blue Mountain are top of my project list right now but Tambo, Ballieston and even Kondaparinga could come up on the rails. All very possibly backed by a sizeable cash injection from the tax losses.

Exciting times at ECR.

This is an excellent find and confirms that 3 of the 5 sites planned back in Sept are now progressing and will be substantial projects for IES when they come to fruition. By my calcs we are talking c. £47m total project value for what should be at least 3x 14.4MWh Mistral arrays.

IES has already planned that these projects would contribute to revenues in 2026 but this initial c. $6m award is a healthy sum also. Most importantly it shows that these US projects are moving forward which gives IES an ever stronger foothold in a key future market. Happy.

I think the comments here are a tad harsh. I don't know Myles personally but have crossed paths with him many times over the years. Whilst I have no idea what his investment horizon is he doesn't produce such pieces very often so it is meaningful that he did.

If nothing else I think the exposure for HUD is very good because it deserves to be on more investors radars. But it is the results that will do the most talking and have the longest-lasting effect.

My eyes remain firmly fixed on the early January trading update which I expect to be strong and my 2025 target is as it was around the £30m MC zone.

A funny way to communicate this given the gap in updates. Drilling is stated as Q4 but we need to see it truly begin. Still, there is life once more and if they get these plans right then there is a big win to be had from these levels.
