I think the cost of the horizontal will be less than that and Art has already said the first couple thru drill would be at minimum length needed to achieve required flow so I think your figure is about double what the first couple would cost (assuming copl go it alone to prove commerciality)

Duster it makes plenty of sense. In an ideal world Art would swiftly increase production and wipe these bonds out in the same way that Hurricane Energy did. From what was said at the hearing 5k bopd is achievable once the upgrade is done.
Somehow I just can’t see that happening as I can see Art pumping back any cash back into an even more aggressive program to up production.
The difference at hurricane is they had a major shareholder who would not put up with the CEO having one over on shareholders and essentially forced them to pay off the bonds, something we re sadly lacking here…

In the reporting period (1 July 2022 to 31 December 2022) the Company has incurred costs of £159,117. At the balance sheet date, the Company had net assets totalling £224,394 including a cash balance totalling £235,083.
Copl valued at 17 million by these chumps going concern sorted $14 million just raised, producing assets wit a NAV around £380 mill, plus at least 1 billion barrels in the ground.
Sort it out ffs.

Agreed bob IMHO the day we replaced the short term load with the bond holders was the day Art basically said current equity holders are an irrelevance. No way to run a company with total disregard for shareholder value. Meanwhile BH chums drive the sp into oblivion dumpling free interest shares and have had their conversion altered so they feel zero pain from the drop.
Bitterly disappointed with the total disregard shown for shareholders but hopefully if we can push through the headwind of bh chums dumping non stop dramatically increased production and a JV will put this the right side of 20 and beyond…

Bench is he worry is not on an operational level it’s the fact we are a quarter of our value from this time last year and the bond holders have kindly had their conversion price reset. If Art would extend holders the same courtesy I would have no issues at all.
To get back to 20p will be a humongous struggle due to BH that do not have sticky fingers

Pointless calling it a day now with funds in place. To me the timescale for a return has been kicked way down the road unless we get a JV.

Funding is for pipeline and sage grouse season is almost here. Deep drill if it happens will be in Aug/sep assuming we have a JV.

Now Art has the cash to get production where it should be I think at the very least he should give a detailed time frame on the planned works. Pesky sage grouse season is almost upon us so need to know what activity can be done whilst this is in force.

To me it’s pretty clear to get the best JV deal COPL need to sort their going concern status independently (done). Mr JV now is negotiating terms with a company with a decent balance sheet and not take the p9ss with their offer.
Interesting to see how fast copl can crank up production now they have cash to address pressure issues.

I think JV just needs to be seen as bonus. Let’s get this RBL sorted and wonga lender off our back.

Art has said many times they could monetise them and tbh anything that alleviates our rubbish cash position wouldn’t appreciated
