I note what you say STB but let’s be specific. They value company on future cash flow at £14.96 but then say we are underperforming based on:- 1. Overvalued compared to earning based on other producers - Ok maybe but that is on previous reported earnings including when we we’re stockpiling and had not switched to producing dore. 2.Overvalued based on UK market - OK as 1. 3.Overvalued based on ROCE - yes we know that and if you added on the additional $800m that we will add to our asset value when Baly gets back online the situation would look even worse but I am very happy with a higher asset value as this must influence the sale price - additionally refer to 1. 5. Return on equity to grow by 5.3% which is not considered high - they still achieve a future value of £14.96 and they are evidently not taking into account the massive uplift that 900 oz production would give us - fantastic. 6. Earnings - see 1. 7. Dividends - it would have been crazy for ACA to have issued dividends whilst we were going through the dispute - I am confident in the unlikely event ACA continued as an independent company it would offer excellent dividend opportunity. Did I miss anything?

The shorters seem to have been selling into any good news - this affects the rightful optimism in the share and they are able to hold it back. As you pointed out Super they have increased to 0.7% so have 2.8 million shares to buy back. I am further reliable informed that a good rule of thum is that for every declared short there are an equal amount of smaller but undeclared positions - if that proved to be true then 5.6 million shares have to be acquired. Where will they get them from? ACA is a profitable cash producing company even under the current situation and even now worth more than the current SP, once things are resolved and they are back on course to produce 900 ounces of gold per annum an awful lot of value will be created.

Thank Elly, I remember that we wrote down our asset value by about 800k in the 2017 y/e accounts - I had not realised that was specifically related to the mothballing of Baly and that we will add that when the deal is agreed and Baly becomes operational again. The only way forward is to agree the deal - I cannot believe ABX will be trying to stitch us up. If the failings which we are now paying for related to pre ACA days then by holding 64% ABX are effectively paying 64% of the cost anyway if it solved the problem I am sure they would stump up another $100 million to cover the entire cost but in any event in order for this share to move forward to its true value we need to get this deal done. Once completed, as the article suggests we can finally be taken over and everyone will be happy. Come on ACA get this done!

Goodness STB - I used to hold about 400,000 RPT various prices but they owed me under 10p each. With all the trouble in the UKraine and I think some issue with a bank I sold out probably 18 months ago at a 50k loss at around 3p. Imagine how I have kicked myself since as they went to 50 odd. 37p today hope you are still in profit just shows what a plonker I was to give up hope and sell - Super would rightly be very dissapointed in me.

That is because, once again, our Parliament appears unable to agree a way forward despite what is in my opinion is an acceptable compromise. If they pass the deal in tonight’s vote the £ will rise anything else and it will continue to fall. Ultimately I believe a lower £ is an extremely good thing but not at the expense of yet more delay and political manoeuvring.

I would remove all tariffs, reduce corporation tax, suspend stamp duty and increase personal allowances - that would get things moving.

I would not dream of selling ACA for any other stock in the world at the moment - that would be pretty stupid but I would be happy to suffer a short term hit in gold (as valued by sterling) to get this Brexit situation sorted.

Let’s hope that Mrs. May’s legally binding changes to the backstop will mean that her deal will pass through Parliament tomorrow and we can finally move forward - I am hopeful - should be a good day for the £ and builders.

Not suggesting you are being negative STB. I would imagine that the vast majority of the work to sort out a deal has already been done pending the settlement with GoT. Once ACA board let us know the terms agreed between ABX and GoT and we have had the opportunity as shareholders to vote I think a sale would go through very quickly indeed. If I had to guess as to why we are waiting then I would speculate that they are trying to decide if it is more appropriate or looks better to do a one or two stage process ie either, announce terms of arrangements with GoT and offer OR first get shareholder agreement to deal with GoT before then announcing bid.

You may be happy with anything over £4 STB because your buy in price is low - the institutions will have generally paid £5.75 and they have stuck with ACA throughout. I don’t think that they will have had much opportunity to average down as only 2.8% of the shares are held in private hand - I agree they could have made life more difficult for the shorters by trying - but I think that fair value for this share would mean they can exit without loss (at least) and I am sure ABX will not want to sell this established asset off cheaply - £5.75 target.

They are just trying to scare the newbies P. As you have been posting on this site longer than I have you will have seen many come and go - just ignore them. This share is going up and I believe your £4.37 will show a profit. 900,000 oz at $13.00 with a PE of just 10 must put us on a SP of £7 - I don’t think we will get that but I remain confident with my predictions and the Chinese could easily pay £5.75 - looking forward to next week when we could very well find out how close we will get to that. Try to be calm STB - I know you have bought a few shares at 2.3 and 2.6 recently and over the last few days these will be worrying you but this is how the shorters work, it has nothing whatsoever to do with ‘the market’ or pending bad news. No holders are selling the only sells are by shorters who do multiple small trades to effect the algorithm. Sit tight - give yourself a break - it is all going to work out.

You have to hand it to them ACA communications department were right on that - all sorted thank you next. Anyone would think interested parties were trying to drive the price down so they have another chance to buy in before the news lands. Shorters posting on the board again (not you STB - I believe you do hold although you do often come across as a Casandra) which always means they are having another push - they must think we are really stupid - just look at low low volume - shorters trading with themselves.
