Sorry KJ, in answer to you original question then I would say that I do not believe that the production of tests for the UK, Europe etc as manufacture is in keeping with their philosophy. I believe it more likely they will want to continue to develop test but manufacture only to supply third world needs. They will continue to take a royalties from those producing test they have developed. If this transpires then it can only be good for ODX.

Whilst it would be hard to argue that HMG have not changed position/thinking several times along the way, I believe that the current view is that testing only come into its own (both antigen and antibody) once there is widespread vaccination and we are relatively free to move around again with limited restrictions ie where we are now.

Then we can probably agree TW that it really depends on the process but one would hope that a test that has gone through all the trials Mologic/ Visitec then improved would only need the lightest touch to receive approval. That is certainly what I am banking on.

Really hard to understand why HMG would be getting Toyota to continually refine the system unless they see large and long term usage.

Not my ideal route but as I agree Surescreen are approved, at the very least, why our our very own HMG not asking us to produce their test at full capacity rather than ordering more inferior Innova tests, even if this is only temporary until the/our final route is determined?

This is of course the big question. I have thought that HMG wanted to use up the supplies or committed order from Innova but as they continue to make fresh orders that cannot be the case. I had considered that HMG wanted to ensure adequate supplies were available of the new sovereign test before they made a big song and dance about introducing it but if that were the case then surely that would have green lighted production at full scale to build stocks so all I can come up with is that whilst waiting for the perfect they are neglecting the good even though it is far superior to the product they are pumping out under a EUA.

I think I disagree with your conclusions here T. Of course I am aware that our own branded test was the Mologic test and I think we agree that the difference now is that we have adapted our test to introduce a new refined delivery system with the liquid already being provided in the sample vial. Where we differ is that as I understand it from the presentation this has already been done and our Visited (mark 2) is already in the running for approval at PD. Mologic are proceeding with achieving approval for the original test in US having already achieved some success in Europe - I would hope, although experience here does not particularly back up my positivity, that the system will allow for the adaptation/evolution of the test to include the new delivery system within the existing/forthcoming approvals and therefore not take long. I am certainly frustrated by the continuing Innova orders for a test that is worse than the one we can already provide but where we probably differ is that I remain positive that things will finally work out. Surely this is all covered by the fact we have our own branded product which we and Mologic are supporting, further enhanced by the delivery system being modified in such a way that will pass the PD test? Whatever happens with Mologic we go forward.

The article goes on to state that there are some 20 companies involved in the test - surely someone posting here knows someone in one of those companies and can let us know which test is being used?

Blue button, I suggest you listen to the presentation again as most of your questions are covered. No they did not intentionally mislead the market but may have got over excited in what they believed would happen when. Watch the news or read any newspaper and you will see the talk is constantly about testing- you either believe our day will come or you don’t.

He goes on that by that point he believes 10m people will be pinged - how many test is that! We will sell all that we can produce just need that green light.

Tony Blair comments that he believes test and release for all is planned for August 16th.

Labour’s shadow health secretary on LBC asks why we are not all eligible for LFT test and release. He goes on to suggest that funding should be made available now for a LFT to be developed for flu. COVID will open many doors now we are all used to testing and ODX are well placed to benefit for years to come.

Interesting but basically making excuses as to where they are after 16 months of the pandemic. They believe the UK are world leaders and other countries are looking to us for how to do it. Confirm we have massively grown our UK diagnostics industry to one of the largest in the world. Certainly appear to be moving towards paid for tests. Standards need the best regulatory system. Testing massively important moving forward. Being agile will mean companies want to develop and manufacture tests in UK.

From what we have heard today and assuming that we do complete on the HMG contract for £374m over the next 2 years would anyone care to take a punt at an anticipated market cap for ODX. I will go first with £0.5 billion.

I think the origins of Visitec test were Mologic but now developed further with new delivery method - I am hopeful that Visitec will get home use approval. Mentioned again in talks with other already approved providers and we can produce for anyone - no extended TT required.

I leave the presentation happier than I was, I choose to believe that company always spoke the truth as they saw ain’t and my timing and investment decisions are my own. I still believe we will sell everything we can produce and that workforce not been idle in the interim. I am also more buoyed by other products than I had been. I will be holding.

Megaton, fairly sure he said Mologic test no longer in running but Visitec test with new delivery system may get home use approval.
