Noting the manner in which Moscow is almost begging Ukraine to sign up for the narrative about 'realities' to try and save face. Even if Russia dig in, they will have a non stop war like since 2014 trying to hold on to occupied land. I estimated mid November when the withdrawal would be ordered by the generals. As it happened, this did occur (live on TV) but limited to a retreat to try and consolidate some degree of territorial gain. Well, some 6 weeks on and it is clear the coffers of Moscow are being bled dry, mountains of dead Russian cannon fodder are building up, strikes deeper and deeper into Russia increase and there is ever more kit being supplied by the west. The unsustainability of holding any territory will now be foremost in the generals minds. Do they throw another 10,000 conscript lives at this knowing there will be no short or long term gain? Even the Kremlin insiders will be gauging the folly of the occupation plan. This will be over very soon and I sense the market has been sniffing that for a while and now the holiday break is over we have market movement. 269.37 as I type.
