The reduced price foe Air Europe, IAG to hit 166 today. Close? Don't know but this could be a profit taking day.

That is not an insubstantiale difference, IAG paying less for the asset. Will the market price that in straight away?

Makes me think minor changes unrestricting travel will lead to large increases in movements. That will influence the reluctant to not stay out. Australia ban to the end of 2021 is just not going to be maintained. Real time is slower than simple planning calanders suggest, people can get frustrated with just one week's delay on something. I expect to be able to fly to Oz by August at the latest and have a range of flights, including budget options.

GB46, all depends how the media deals with it. With the kind of numbers involved, there will inevitably be something somewhere. It will hopefully be expressed in terms of probability of being struck by lightning and so on, but the checks and balances in media I remember form when I was much younger don't seem to exist these days.

Political move by Trump on Biden. If Biden was a free thinker he would make a rational advised move for or against change of Trump's policy. If he was just a reactive knee jerk typical politician he would revoke whatever Trump says, maybe actualy have a look at what he revoked latter to see what the impact could be.

We see it all over the place, knee jerk reactions based on irrational personality conflicts and posturing in front of media. Biden has failed on a monumental scale from the off. He should have called for a full in depth independant investigation into the voting fraud claims so he then would have taken charge of the agenda and stopped the runnaway conspiracy theories which is now leading to a very real unstable situation, not a media fantasy one. Supporting the soviet style clamp down on free speech including an elected president is also a very bad move that may have very signifcant consequences. In addressing the dangerous atmosphere over there I am afraid Biden has not started off too well.

So the almost automatic revoking of the changes to the travel ban is not good for us. Uncertainty is never good for the market. He should have said the reasons behind the policy change will be studied and a decision to revoke amend or implemet forthcoming in 12 hours or some such.

I am expecting more paranoid and hysterical reactions against groups connected with Trump, not just the far right weirdos. 75million voted for him and that has seriously ****ed of a lot of the liberal leftn elite who thought their trolling of Trump through all media would have demolished him and any support for him. I see a few years of serious trouble for the US which will have major impacts on tourisim. BA should move with caution in relying on US routes as a substantiale leg of recovery.

Now I appreciate many on here will take on board the current propaganda position especially as it has been presented by the likes of the BBC. But standing back and taking a rational overview looking beyond 5 years of TV news trolling of Trump and set against the size of the vote for him in 2020, tells me the real world looks very different from the news narrative and very bad stuff is going to happen in reaction to it.

Looking at Easy Jet price, it looks like the day trader atteintion is over there rather than here due to their news about bookings on the up, which is good as I have a decent wadge in them.
I bet BA will want to grab some of the lime light and will be releasing some sort of very positive figures soon, perhaps for tomorrows free advertising headlines. At the moment EasyJet are getting the kind of free positive publicity you can't buy. BA can't be far behind wanting a nice big peice of that cake.

I don't know why this is struggling to move up, I can only presume there was a stupidly large panic sell early in the day and is being worked through. Might explain those three people in suites throwing themselves off the NatWest tower after lunch. Waste of a lunch if you ask me.

They will just copy America. No investigation despite loud and vocal claims from numerous unconnected sources intially, and construct a narrative with media support that there was nothing amiss and in fact trying to claim there was something wrong is actually casuing the infection.
The more astute of you will be able to read between the lines. For reasons that should be obvious the explicit claim can not be reproduced within social media otherwise there is instant denial and deletion, no matter how many actual real world thumbs up are given.

waste-to-jet fuel project

Not a viable alternative to 'proper' fossil fuels, window dressing. One of those schems where millions can be diverted to the back pockets of the environmental lobby keeping them quite. When you 'follow the money' it is astonishing how many of that lobby are only in it to pocket large sums of money to then go off and but all the gedgets of the modern world in their nice secluded country houses with their 4x4s and pay for all the jetting off to conferences and symposia that always end up being held in luxury 5* warm tropical sun baked locations. When was the lst time you saw them meet up in a grey rainy wintery Portsmouth motel?

Throw the money grubbing hypocrits a fish, keep them in their holes.

Well my little demonstration that you can't will the price in either direction worked out quite well! No bloody bath but no urgent jumping on board either. Think those large sells have been the bread soaking up the gravey. Friday saw 166 and I still see 168 on the cards, but the timing perhaps not as predicatable. At any moment when a hint of covid passport scheme agreed comes out, then it will be rockets to the moon.
