There is no way the PM will make an announcement that time of day, 8pm would be more creadible. Further, there are no schedule alterations on the boards for any announcement today, this week or indeed for the rest of the month.

Bought 1/3 EZJ and 2/3 IAG of pot. I think looking forward 2-3 weeks it will be IAG to benefit more as post lockdown news turns to the positive rather than the forward looking negative at the moment.

Will move some money around and take opportunity to average down. Then sit it out. I have faith in COVID passport turning this travel issue around very fast when it comes about. Need confidence about being able to purchase vaccine for travel when passport scheme sorted. Need UK to sign up for passport scheme. Need WHO to get it organised.

Missed the name of the interviewee on R4 at 8:30ish, think it was a minister, was speaking clear and announcement to clear previous maybe/if BBC reporting, notwithstanding there is a press release from govenrment confirming. However, looks like travel market is expecting it to come in force. How much of this is the dark forces in governement/ civil service determined to implement anythign from EU as if still in EU can't tell. Too much mimicking EU at moment.

Looks like talk of complete travel ban in to UK has dominated market sentiment.
I will just have to fold arms, settle down on the pile and sit out the dip, unless I liquidate elsewhere and have some spare cash to take advantage od the dip. Back to breakeven at 151.

Note the time of the news re Cargo strike, which I admit I did not even know was on the cards. So the curious drop yesterday may well have been based on, ermm, a random good guess (!) that there would be no agreement, but then something after market close has come about.
I have been wondering why BA has not converted part of its fleet to light cargo, there is a significant shortage of air freight space - and somebody posts a note on Lufthansa increasing cargo revenue.
Is it now all explained, BA have been held back on cargo increase thanks to union blocking? Now cargo expansion can go ahead?
HOWEVER, another spanner might be thrown in the works, news on R4 that a complete ban on travel into the UK might come into effect and has support within the government.
I think I will bow out of any sp prediction today, there are other events out of sight causing mayhem predicting this, but my marker, all things being equal, of 168 stands.
