Second meeting of G7 has taken place, stuff about third world financial help and underwriting the climate change fraud with even more of our hard earned.

Nothing about travel schemes yet form the meeting, but there might be a sequence of releases rather than one bundle.

Staying locked in as per plan to April 12th IAG, RR, may get some Easy Jet early next week and looks good taking share offer from RTN, still maintaining 11% above offer price. So it is January all over again except the dip doesn't look as low. Just over three weeks to April 12th so not a big lock in.

It'll take a week for the immediate EU crisis to recede from front of house. I had thought UK might be left behind with the April 12th review, now actually 21st June review but there appears to be so much heel dragging I get the impression there is a bit of manipulation to put global unlock back as far as the various governments can get away with. Fallout of the stupid halt in vaccing on continent will grow into a violent over thrown as the numbers who will actually die real world because they were not vaccinated is calculated. The secondary effect is the effect on putting off an already iffy population regarding vaccines from getting jabbed. Holiday resorts and most small towns and villages will be safe for tourist and business travel, but I won't be surprised to see warnings about travel to large cities and capitals and avoiding political gatherings. The break up of EU will send a very wide range of shares North as the strangle hold on enterprise is removed and the 'Europe first' superiority policy is consigned to history. Could be some great volatile day trading opportunities.

But, the core of the believers and the commission will fight it out at every turn, become increasingly irrational (you're seeing it up front several times this year) and there will be live bullets used. Italy first to leave Euro, Ireland first to declare in/out referendum. Fiver on both.

It is very interesting what a dead duck the EU big announcement on it's Green Card vacc passport scheme has received. It looks like the rest of the world is regarding it with almost contempt. One the one hand it is fun to watch the EU treated as a such a non-entity, but they take it very personally and tend to lash out in unpredictable ways.

Most likely the G7 scheme will be the globally dominant one.

There was somebody else in IAG and GUN. GUN showing the first sign of the spike. From the last two, I will be bailing early in the ascendancy. If this 8% holds to close, then tomorrow morning might be the spike point. two or three bagger more than good enough for me.

Sub 200? I doubt that very much. But me anticipated cash-in spike April 12th looks increasingly weak - will have to adjust diary to May with pictures of planes taking off. If IAG has any marketing idea they will have cameras as guests on the flight deck, waive all permissions to get camera access alongside the runway and fly A380s with accompanying news story of bringing them back to meet demand. In short, make sure any and all images of a 'return to the skies' has BA planes all over the images - and I mean saturation coverage. I am still in marginal profit with IAG but really don't want to be sitting on capital all the way through to the end of June.

I think we need a clarity message, Are there two forms of vacc passport - -one regarding access to pubs and employment [that was never on the agenda in the first place], and one to allow outward and inward travel without testing and isolation? How can the opening up plan for travel be announced in any detail on April 12th if the consideration of vacc passports doesn't report until mid June? There is an issue here, email your MPs and aks them to get a reply from any government minister ASAP.

I understand the debate on the internal access one being problematic where terms of employment are possibly going to be abused, but then again if someone had rabies would you say an employer may not put a restriction on the employee? But that is another debate.

My confidence that free travel is going to open up in May is negative now.

June publication hidden in this release from government few days ago

In news articles, the 21st June is referenced as the final stages of lock down being lifted but the report of travel is clearly indicated to be delivered on 12th April - it is where many have commented on here.

It looks very much as if any UK vacc passport is to be put back to June. You may be able to travel with a vacc passport outbound, but it will be of no use inbound. I foresee a real media stink on the cards with this. So looks like I'll be locking in with the share for a lot longer than planned - my timetable was all based around April. ****!

It is the date, 21 June, when previously it was announced Gove was going to publish a review on vacc passports 12th April along with the plan to lift travel restrictions. It was well published so this briefing document has either confused end of lockdown or the date has been moved. Since vacc passports are critical to opening up free travel, if this is the review date set back it is an issue. Whilst the law may be lifted allowing travel in May, if there is no UK passport scheme, what happens on the return? Same as now with red lists, expensive testing and quarantine? I've said on many occasions the return leg is very important.

Sundezena, who is 'they' and does that relate to the return leg?

Clarity is everything and that June date is not the same as the original 12th April date.

As I have said before, BA might be kicking themselves for not having more business class seats when travel resumes. Well, if these [unsourced] rumours about bringing the A380's back into use is true, then maybe their shins will be spared. Next statement from Norwegian bringing back their 777s? Have Norwegian relinquished their landing slots yet??????

Overall the prediction form BA of a full return to 2019 volumes may be true but only when averaged out over a few years, I anticipate very heavy demand for the first 6 months and seats will be going for a premium, on top of the existing premium. I predict BA will not need to offer grace or favour to tempt business travellers back. Video conferencing was well established before the pandemic yet passenger numbers just kept growing. I expect a return to service with 2020/21 being a mere blip on the overall chart.

This is much further back than than the previous data of April 12th when Gove review is supposed to report on resuming travel. You want a scheme up and running before then, not a report of options.
