there is then a table showing all the islands level 2 and level 1. That means travel is open to all the islands. This could be very significant for allowing the UK to put the canaries on the green list. On that basis I am going to be considering any buy in to IAG and EasyJ before Wed close. Just the news that at least the Canaries is heading in the right direction may cause a mad panic buy and I can sell at 487. lol!

I hear some worrying wishful thinking trying to defend positions for a rise in the sp. Careful not to fall in love with the share! Whatever your holding, as long as you sell for more than you bought, you have a profit. If you sell at a loss to capitalise on an opportunity elsewhere that comes off, that's good enough too. I could get very despondent not selling EasyJ on Friday crica 1090, instead of selling Monday morning 1071 but it was still a profit. Who knows where I will go back in to RR [looking tempting], IAG [5% rebound but when?] or Easy [3% rebound +10% island routes open]?

Anyway. Lunch time and I have some sausage rolls to devour.

bit early to call that sun... we will see at 14:31 after NYSE opens. If there is no transatlantic effect then this may possibly be a bottoming for today. But there is no certainty that the only way is up after. remember, sh.i happens all the time. I don't mind being locked in as long as the time is short. I've allowed myself to get locked in for weeks on end with these dogs. I want to start reducing lock in times, want a bigger an better fridge for the kitchen now the bathroom is finished and paid for.

I won't be 'waiting' for 190, I suggest there is a probability as orders are triggered on a decline if the automatic trades do not take up the slack. If I do buy in at 195, 196, 197 then that will be that. Whatever the price then drops to is of no matter as the only number I will be interested in is when I sell! Since IAG and Easy J are maintaining synchronicity, I may split between the two. So far my master plan to rule the world from the wicker chair is still on course. I now wait for trading response from the u ess of ay.

...but, keeping it in perspective, there is a rather significant drop across the board on travel related stocks. Easy J -4.5%, maybe the better buying opportunity for quickie profits in a couple of days as rumours of xyz island destinations suggesting they are next on green list.

Posting predictions is noose to hang ourselves. I'm going for <195 at some point today. If stops are triggered with no buying of the dips I might even stick my neck out and go for <190. Give the trolls something to spit at later -

200 breached, now there will be the cascade of stops against those buying 'the dip'. I suspect by lunch time the sell off will dominate and we will be around 195. Lucky me out of both IAG and Easy J because of the limited green list. I will sit on my cash pile for a while like a dragon looking after its horde of gold.

It's a bit murky in the markets, there is something else going on because the drop is across all my portfolio and the FTSE in general. Is there a new variant popping up in the states or something?

Interesting how Easy J and RR are following dip - debt issue not being priced in just yet, maybe will be priced in when final details released later today.

Thanks for letting us know Curly - I was hoping to find a source of information that would give me a heads up that change was coming. Good old yanks, take the money for your ESTA but bar entry to the country and allow it continue counting down. Love it.
PS the next EU flash point will be July 1st, when the new VAT rules come into play. I am going to predict that the EU will claim a lot of companies including tour operators are not signed up to pay extra VAT into Europe. This is an important one to watch as it is a good opportunity to try and ground UK aircraft in favour of EU carriers. Don't put it past them!

Easy J and IAG in perfect sync - unfortunately. It is beginning to feel a little bit like an elastic band being stretched and stretched and stretched. It'll snap at some point, but will it crash or fly? History shows there is a lot of time for 'stuff' to happen between now and the next review.

So there is an RNS for the AGM, but the author couldn't be bothered to put the date in it. Given the cost of an RNS, wasn't that just a pathetic waste of money?

sp movement seems to indicate only a pi response to the green list, no iis making any big movements. That would mean they had already read the bones and the pointed comments over the week before and priced in the limited green list. It also means they are not expecting and extended delay in expanding the green list. It is remarkably static.

Just waiting for the first spurious news story to set off the firework.

cost of PCR is one thing, but the border processing on return leg is another issue. Within a week or so of May17th we might start to get the headlines of massive queues in the UK airports. There are horror stories now with very few travellers. This may become a new limiting factor. Whichever way, all these obstacles point towards a very deliberate dragging of the heels, no doubt somebody deploying the idiot nudge theory again to try and control the plebs. Makes me cringe every time it is deployed.
