Let's bear in mind, what looks blindingly obvious to everybody outside Downing St, it all looked the same until the cabinet was ambushed at the last moment in the actual meeting. So everybody needs to be very careful to not get carried away. There are still a few days to go before the 24th and NO pre-meeting announcements or leaks can be trusted now. There also hasn't been any reshuffle yet so it should be remembered that the saboteurs are still in the cabinet and may strike again.

I hope the legal action is seen through and not just a bit of leverage. What happened over Portugal must not happen again and there must be no danger of it happening again. Note the news is different form the Reuters news, there it is suggested that the quarantine be relaxed for amber list vaccinated people. I have always held that the return leg is the big issue which can put people off travel and the traffic light system was designed to be difficult and expensive, and when it failed as with Portugal there was a very heavy handed response to sabotage. If the testing requirements are in deed being relaxed then that removes a proportionally large cost of travelling and removes a significant logistics problem for all travellers. Leaks are showing that significant pressure is now being placed on ministers to stop farting about with their petty political infighting and rescue the situation.

Last night ITV interview with chief US medical advisor was talking about travel resuming in September. He is back in favour with the Biden administration.

Meanwhile the shi.t storm begins. Court action begins to force the release of information used to make travel decisions. There is very real anger behind the headlines, the government is going to be seriously on the ropes with this one. My prediction that this stinks so much, it could be enough to actually bring down the government. Many travel companies are pointing to the fact that not adding the islands is indefensible. Government may be bounced into early changes but what happened with Portugal with the direct purposeful sabotage of holiday is coming back to bite their bum.

The backlash from the sabotage of the Portugal option is keenly felt. The diplomatic complaints from those not included on the green list made. It is a condemnation of the overseas country to say, you're not fit to travel too and hasn't gone down well with some governments. Then there is the political posturing with the commission trying to regain control. The attempt by the US to reassert it's authority over UK, winding back to pre-Trump position. Internal faction fighting in Downing St, self-important nobody health officials who cannot let go of the extraordinary level of influence they have, Boris who clearly is not in control of the cabinet and is nothing more than a lockdown lobby puppet and an anticipated slow down in 2nd doses.

It will be a major shift to get policy change. The sabotage of Portugal and open talk about not just reviewing the green list but the traffic light system on 24th back to making travel illegal again unless to green list countries, it doesn't look good. No matter how logical or obvious what the policy should be, we do not have a logical administration at the moment.

Easy J have moved aircraft form the UK to Berlin. Getting ready for the big opening up of EU travel on 1st July with the greencard/covid vacc passport. The UK will look on from the sidelines and ask, why aren't we travelling to where they are travelling since the danger must be the same for them as it would be for us and we are jsut as vaccinated as the ones travelling since they can only travel with a vacc passport? Why are we being left out? What is going on - is what we will be asking ourselves in a couple of weeks. Unless there is a belated extension of the green list on the 24th June, the next travel review date.

Being walked up and down for the whole sector by the computers, rinse and repeat for last week or so. The computers are slowly vacuuming up pi money. Speculation for the two week review should mean not being locked in for too long though. Sitting on my hands for next week or two.

The next bull ramping fest will of course be whether the lockdown will be lifted earlier than July 49th, i.e. in just a fortnight. Boris was rather particular on that point. How much of today's little buy-in is getting ahead on that one? I suppose if you are prepared to sit it out until July 73rd then you might as well buy-in now pre ramp and grab a useful price. SO I will predict travel stocks in the 15-20% up from today as we get to the first possible U turn date which will be 28th June [progress review date?]. I will also guess this will be used as leverage to get young larger louts to crawl out of their beds and make an effort to go to a vaccination centre. Otherwise the full lockdown to July 131st will be have to be played out.

More evidence today that shares in this sector are still being traded by the computers as a bloc, I'm watching RR, IAG and Easy, they are moving as one again. So I am thinking the possibility of jumping between shares when the recovery starts from the new delay, it won't really matter which one you're in, you will probably get the same order of return.

Well that was a pathetic interview. Not one question or reference to international travel. Almost as if it doesn't exist. And no questioning about the appalling sabotage of people's holiday's in Portugal. Nothing. What an awful interview. I had a growing feeling that Gove was actually being protected. I have never heard such a weak interview between R4 and a Tory like that before. Normally it is the labour interviews who have it handed on a plate. In fact, that interview was utterly bizarre.

Gove to be interviewed on R4 after 8am Will be interesting to see if there will be a market reaction to what he says. He was supposed to have delivered the unlocking of international travel back in April but disappeared and has been very quite. I think he is a key problem in keeping lockdown and holding back international travel. I also think he is the one who was miffed at people not behaving as he had intended with his nudge theory restrictions deterring travel with expensive covid tests and quite simply retaliated against holiday makers by suddenly moving Portugal to amber. He is the one I suspect of direct sabotage of those holidays and international travel.

I will be listening to hear if there is any reference connecting carbon/green/environmental aspirations to restricting travel and maintaining a much longer travel restriction policy. If there is a connection, then the industry is doomed because it confirms the hysteric eco activists are implementing a carbon reduction policy on the quite using the pandemic as a cover. It is exceptionally dangerous to our whole society because there is still no debate or cross-examination of anything connected to climate change, it is a one way system and any action being taken is not being challenged and any opposition completely covered up. It is like a religious cult taking over the whole world.
