Really confusing. When is the next green list review. Three week review date is the 24th June. But many news reports are referring to the 28th on the basis that a 'spokesman' said no later than the 28th June.

It is one of thousands that are on going and being renewed during the pandemic, and there are dozens of these under normal times for contingency purposes across a very wide range of provisions. The services may never be used and is entirely provisional - a legal requirement like procuring services to deal with a flood that may never happen. There isn't even a base cost cover guarantee This is where a fair chunk of spending tends to go, services that are not actually used but are put in place just in case, such as the Nightingale hospitals. Government and authorities procure, they manage and provide only very limited services to the community mostly based around welfare. Furthermore it is only for 48 months.

You need to have a particularly twisted imagination to make such a link to claim there will be any deaths from the vaccination, a conscious effort for deception. I think you will find the US routes are all down to the US permissions rather anything to do with the UK. If the US says all welcome, it will be in the UK green list mins later!

I did say today would be a day trader, expecting strong afternoon. There is some heavy trade going on.I've flipped Easy J already, one laast high from them today and IAG might be ready for a split between the two just before market close. We will see, but the proverbial 'wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend', is for real today with the 24th Review looming. I expect leaks galore in the papers over the weekend. How long before EU starts fining UK for blocking sh to EU hubs, that then fly on to USA? Government needs to wake up to what's going to happen pretty quick. US chief medical was saying possible resume transatlantic flights to US from UK in September. Boris needs to get firmer, or at least a reshuffle to put a US facing strong man in place.

David, the question is WHO is testing positive? The demographic is the younger people. First point is they are generally not a vaccinated group and therefore the 80% population vaccination is not relevant. The second point is what are the consequences of contracting covid [or a cold or the flu or a sudden heart attack.....]. For the young age group the consequences are minor compared to the older generation. And it follows from that the narrative should be changing away from case numbers to infection impact, but there is a very slow movement on that and the opening up of travel is very much caught up with that. The narrative needs to change.

The government should have been putting the statistics relating to covid alongside other 'common' health issues to get the perspective back. Seen in isolation it looks very concerning, but in context it is reducing to a second and even third tier concern. If as much concern was put into stuff like heart and kidney issues, then we would all be a little healthier. The fit healthy football player that has a heart attack on the pitch should have been used as a perfect example of the perspective of covid. The longer the perspective is not given, then the longer ministers will be trapped by their own rhetoric.

Don't underestimate the depth of trouble the government is in over this one. This is going to turn serious pretty quick.

There is only one reason the Tories lost a safe seat down south - the recent handling of pandemic policies. The Libdems can interpret it in any way they choose, but the holiday debacle in that community will be giving a firm two fingers to the government.

The science community can not agree and there is a range of opinions. And dealing with tge pandemic is as accurate as that. Medicine always has been. This time round the scientists have been give n a free hand and believed as if they have an answer. It is becoming clear they don't, they never did. It is the common cold problem, you have to learn to live with it. But we have been subtly mislead into believing the scientists have suddenly found the ability to cure the common cold. I am assuming economic pressure will put them back in their box eventually and realism will return. But then again, a lot of people thunk the climate is changing and mankind is responsible. so.......

Tomorrow could be very good, and I doubt there will be any sell off into the weekend. Didn't day trade today, too busy, but Easy J especially gave some big opportunities along with IAG. IAG should have a good spike tomorrow as I do believe rumours are going to emerge state side concerning potential air corridors for the UK US - but don't take the rumours verbatim. As the market enters another highly volatile period, there will be organised boiler room operations working on the shares for the next couple of weeks.
