The food inflation is manageable for most but some cut backs on things like tobacco and alcohol. The difficult one is the very big fuel increases. If the huge environmental charges were dropped and the non consumption related huge daily charges were dropped, it would be much more manageable. But the environmental lobby has a stranglehold on the politicians so you are going to continue paying hundreds extra for wind turbines that are not reducing the price of anyone's electricity (check your bills for proof, especially those of you who are supposed to be getting 100% renewable but still have bills going up 60%!!!!!!)

And I find this very hard to believe. I have always thought they are used as a political stunt and actual real people needing the safety net are being elbowed out. There is a big difference between maxing out credit cards buying crap and mortgaging beyond your means such that you get hit when prices increase and being genuinely to poor to buy basics. Many have to downsize or give up some shiny things as circumstances dictate.

And I'm sorry to say it, but rather a lot of health workers played the system during the pandemic with time off and going part-time. Some did not turn out to be angels and scammed the NHS for all they could get leaving the real heros with twice as much to do as they should have had!

I laugh at people claiming the growth in food banks is proof of increasing poverty. f I set up a stall at the end of the road and put a big sign saying 'Free Food', how long before a queue forms? And in that queue how many would not be able to actually buy the give away?
