We don't really have brexit yet as there is still far too much shadowing EU diktats by officials embedded within British institutions. The Eu has been as awkward and difficult as it possibly can at every single opportunity to undermine Brexit. Even stupid things like imposing travel limits - there was a big movement in the commission to force Brits to pay for Visas to enter the EU more strict than getting into China, even an EU ESTA!!!!!!

UK was supposed to have been severally damaged by the sanctions (publicly called a trade deal), NI supposed to have been handed over to the republic and UK isolated in financial services and world markets.

It isn't the bits of brexit in place that have failed, it's the policy of retaliation and forced compliance by europe on the UK that has failed. The Truss government stepped completely out of line with europe with a growth budget and there has been a completely autocratic backlash. We are now in a dark spot of cancelled democracy. I dare say it, but maybe Farage in Downing st might send the message and he would certainly purge the system and dump the sanctions going WTO!

You are so far off. Nobody has control of Ukraine otherwise they would have been lent on from the outset be Germany as Germany sought to preserve its cheap gas.

No. The entire landscape has been turned upside down and any previous political arrangements are over with Russia. There is no reverse, that ended very early on when mostly civilian targets like maternity hospitals and kindergartens were repeatedly attacked along with hundreds and hundreds of residential dealings in and out of town.

In the face of the Russian state terrorism, there is only one outcome, complete defeat for Russia. The only active policy of the west at the moment is the standing back while the gradual disintegration of Russian forces continues. At some point if the Russian generals do not end it then nato forces will go in and finish off Russia. Whether they go on to Moscow and occupy the country depends on whether Putin tries to use nukes in retreat.

The only single solution now is the generals call a ceasefire and order a full withdrawal. They get to do that on their own terms at the moment and preserve some sort of army to protect itself from fractious forces gathering around other borders. Russia is progressively vulnerable day by day all along the southern border. Russian generals are running out of time to maintain control on events.

There will also be the small matter of oligarch private armies to deal with as the Putin regime collapses and a civil war begins. Without an army to keep internal control, there will be a number of independent state declarations.

Dreams of Ukraine negotiating away invaded lands and accommodating Russian demands is pure fantasy.

Yes , let's point to the magnificent display of Russian style democracy as demonstrated in gun point referendums in territories it has recently invaded. Gives democracy a whole new meaning. You try to convince yourself CR88888 that Russia has somehow snookered Ukraine in to capitulating. But some of you have been doing this from the start. The bridge was just the beginning, big attacks will now take place deep within Russia, Moscow and other big cities too. You see, the fear of Ukrainians being attacked is gone.
