AGM Notes.7 Jun 2018 12:02
HUR AGM 6th June 2018.
Quite a crowd there and about 10 of us went to The Goat Tavern afterwards for a few beers and to compare notes. Really great to finally meet you all. I believe SIPP is going to publish a photo taken outside the pub.
IJWT has already done a great job of covering the content of the actual AGM itself. Very accurate, so he either recorded it or has great note taking skills. Ive just tried to add some flavour to it all from actual conversations with BOD members after the AGM and to reinforce the key points from the AGM itself.
HUR are still pushing the official line of H1 2019 for FOIL (but with wry smiles firmly affixed).
However, RT did quantify it a bit more in his formal presentation by stating the front end of 2019.
I asked NP in the Q&A session about the weather and hooking up the buoy in the winter months. Only actually need one day of good weather to do it. So, I asked him how long from buoy hook up to FOIL but would not be drawn on this. I think he felt it was giving too much away regarding the FOIL date as normally it would be reasonable to expect an answer. The commissioning work following hook up is not as influenced by the weather as the actual hook up itself, so once we get the hook up date, all bets are off.
As a comparison, PMOs BW Catcher arrived on station on the 18th October 2017, hooked up on the 19th and had performed a full turret rotation test on the 20th. FOIL followed just over 9 weeks later on the 23rd December. The PMO subsea system consisted of 12 wells and was a much more complex arrangement. The caveat is the weather but NP didnt seem to think that finding an odd day in November (for example) would be a problem despite the rough conditions WOS.
All of the investors I met on the day think there is a very real chance we will get FOIL in late 2018. I really cant see it being any later than January 2019 and they are using this date for cash flow forecast figures in the AGM presentation. The BOD just cant say it officially and have to adopt a conservative approach.
After FOIL HUR will take 6 months to slowly ramp up to 18k bopd (net). Getting all the data is the real priority here. Cash flow is a close second !
It will be 6-12 month after FOIL before any serious discussions with an interested parties take place.
At that stage, the BOD are under no pressure or obligation to accept a below par deal.
It is also quite likely that assets will be disposed of in a series of transactions.
I spoke to Roy Kelly (Kerogen) after the AGM. Believe me, Kerogen are in for the long haul. Discussed future valuation of company. Huge. Blew me away actually. I cant quote here as not appropriate. HUR are not going to be taken out on the cheap. As shareholders, we took the pain last year and are now in a rather envious position going forward.
RT is extremely confidant in the EPS. It could produce 20k bopd per wel
