The final price on my HL account is £11.14 which is much better than I hoped for at the start of the week. I agree that it must have something to do with the Fed. Possibly a bit of Kamala effect too.

I do also wonder how much time has to be spent in the casino - a percentage would do - in order to get to/maintain his “status”. Although, from his last post, it would seem he only needs to spend a short time there to “top up” his benefits.

Ah, yes, same on all P &O ships, they have to use the “instant” custard, made with WATER! Revolting.

Still, avoidable, so not that big a deal, Jocko. Against our better judgement we enjoyed our trip on Iona. So, we’re trying Arvia next year to Norway.

Suffice to say that the only gambling I do is on here with CCL and NatWest. Hardly gambling really. They have both treated me well - Divi due from NatWest next month.

I used to accumulate Airmiles through my NatWest card. We got several flights out of it. Sadly, like many other points for pounds deals, it got shot down by some EU rule, I believe.

Do you remember an advert for Sekonda with Ronnie Barker playing the richest man in the world? A friend says “how come you’ve got only a Sekonda watch?” to which Barker replied “No body ever got rich by spending money”.

You have my admiration - I can never spot that sort of deal.

I am not THAT old and I haven’t written a book which I’ve then lost.

And today was more like the usual - creeping up after opening higher here, then a 20p+ plunge at 14:30. What are those Yankers up to?

I belong to Salisbury and District Angling Club - for fly fishing. Usual spot is Leominstead Lake in the New Forest. Water is getting a bit warm, though, and that depletes the oxygen which the trout need.

Up more than 3% on the day. Hopefully it will hang in there tomorrow and end the week on a peak!
