No, don’t hold your breath, CW, the small gain from this morning might just hold but I don’t think it will do any better than that. Market here closed on Monday so we can at least breathe easy that day!
Have a really good one everybody!

Betterlife, cost cutting wouldn’t hack it and they do have a plan and strategy for paying it down with the aim of achieving “investment grade” status by 2026. They cannot do that without reducing debt significantly.
I watch the daily swings with astonishment but this was always going to be a medium to longer term share to hang on to. Just be thankful you weren’t a holder when it dipped under £5. I had bought at £7.95. If I had sold then, I would have had to find something to make the money back. As it is, ……
YL, I hear mixed stories about NCL - but then the same goes for P & O. We have just booked for 2025 on Arvia and Arcadia respectively.

Morning NSS and all,
yet again some commentator looks like trying to make a name for himself. Completely ignores the plans and strategy Carnival have clearly laid out in all their announcements around results. If the debt was a real problem, why are the holders not kicking up a fuss? Partly because they cannot afford to talk Carnival down because that would jeopardise their security but mainly because they think they have a solid investment in a sound company.
The only thing I would agree with is the comment about overheads, although “balloon” is a bit strong and they should not be linked to fuel costs. CCL price has never really moved in direct relation the to oil price - just ask EmeraldCarrots! Sorry, EC😀

What is happening at NatWest? Huge gain in the last two weeks. Any idea what will happen after dividend on Monday?
