Wyndrum - have a listen again to the most recent Vox interview (it's all anyone has to go on really): Alistair says they are putting all efforts into the LFT atm and then intimates that so much has changed in the PCR space that BAMS, as a lab-based test, will be less of an opportunity than anticipated. IMO it's what triggered the retrace that day.
Quite what and why this has happened is anyone's guess - I would be surprised if this late in the game the test isn't brought to market, especially when Bruker clearly see commercial value in it.
I wonder, therefore, if its about capacity issues inside the diagnostics team and/or the scale of the opportunity with the LFT is simply so vast now that putting BAMS to one side is now a better strategy.
In due course I imagine we'll get some detail as to whats happened over the last 6 months of development, perhaps at the next interim's. Until then, I think we're all in the dark..
