I don't think there's jitters, it's only moving on technical 's really - has been overbought for a while on the daily RSI and bounced off resistance at 275ish, so I half expected us to drop and bounce off support at 247 this morning.

Both buyers and sellers make a market - price has to go down some days.

Wyndrum - have a listen again to the most recent Vox interview (it's all anyone has to go on really): Alistair says they are putting all efforts into the LFT atm and then intimates that so much has changed in the PCR space that BAMS, as a lab-based test, will be less of an opportunity than anticipated. IMO it's what triggered the retrace that day.

Quite what and why this has happened is anyone's guess - I would be surprised if this late in the game the test isn't brought to market, especially when Bruker clearly see commercial value in it.

I wonder, therefore, if its about capacity issues inside the diagnostics team and/or the scale of the opportunity with the LFT is simply so vast now that putting BAMS to one side is now a better strategy.

In due course I imagine we'll get some detail as to whats happened over the last 6 months of development, perhaps at the next interim's. Until then, I think we're all in the dark..

How curious - If it was an update to the original, you would think it would link back to it in the 'history' column.

So perhaps there are two distinct tenders, with the later one (£0-8bn) acting as a variable 'top-up' to the original (£8bn) tender?

The most recent tender documents said alternative routes to Porton Down would be considered, so our CE mark - based on clinical trials - should be fine.

SP was a little too hot for no news and so looks like traders took profits - 250 has previously been suggested as a base for any retrace.

I imagine we'll bounce back pretty sharply - especially with so much news due imminently.

Jvetch - My thinking is that perhaps the data in fact belongs to a test developed by the collaboration of UK-RATC companies; if the data simply related to the Mologic test why ask partners for *edits* on the review, regardless if they funded manufacturing or not?

This is the question Timster - it seems a little confused.

I am told Mologic are still developing theirs further, in addition to assisting Avacta with CE marking so that there are two distinct tests coming to market; with the potential for a third joint test in due course.

But I also think they may already be collaborating on the consortium test - which would make sense on the circumstantial evidence we have all seen.

I'm not 100% which way it is atm, but it strikes me as out of the ordinary that Mologic would ask the UK-RATC for edits on data that exclusively belongs to Mologic...

Mologic were supposed to publish data last week, but this has been delayed by a week or two - apparently more data has come in for review, with a draft due today.

Though interestingly, the draft report will also apparently be sent to the consortium for edits - which makes me wonder if the data in fact pertains to the consortium's test and not just Mologic's..
