The silence is definitely deafening...in an odd sort of way it's reassuring.

This is new tech on all fronts and as such will always take longer to develop/penetrate existing, well established market places. Many of these market sectors are somewhat old fashioned and resistant to change and the new kids on the block have to work extra hard to get a foot hold...but when they do with it's funny how suddenly the old timers all want in too.

1. They simply didn't order enough as it's a new introduction into their product range and haven't built up a strong order history yet/reordering call off.
or
2. Orders are outstripping current production levels.

Production levels might be limited as production is still being geared up...and/or some production is being placed into stock...and/or there have been some component supply issues...

It could be several factors...and basically we just don't know the reason(s).

Poirot...another possible reason there might be ongoing communications with the Govt is the fact our affimers are being used in products detecting Covid in water...plus there is also Govt supplied equipment at Mologic/GAD. Personally I can't see discussions only being around our affimer tech in just our own LFT...surely it's got to be broader than that now.
I do suspect capacity/production volumes have been the stumbling block and if I was Al I would be asking the Govt to hold off giving us a contract until we are absolutely sure we can guarantee the volumes needed which means the whole supply chain has to be able to make the same guarantees. Perhaps our Distribution deal with Calibre has been part of the gearing up process too.

Both have put their necks on the line here by basically calling HUA/Medusa 19 Production Mid/End Sept. So all you have to do is wait and see if their info comes good or not. If it does, then it's either a good guess based on what we all already know, or one or both have an inside track but either way it should be welcome news and we all hope the SP will react positively.
If it doesn't pan out in September, then you just need to decide whether you continue to take on board what they say/their research or you put them on filter. The choice is yours...
Personally, doing ones own research and making ones own decisions is probably the best then you only have yourself to blame if it goes pear shaped.
In the meantime, there are people and companies who will continue to try and make money from a falling SP until such time they get out before or get taken out by a rising SP...each to their own and engaging only helps them.
