No Reasonable Offer Refused28 Feb 2026 15:58
While I might welcome the RAM deal in principle, in practice it would put the kybosh on my future. I was expecting a takeover offer for ZIOC as were many other LTHs. I never really expected 900p - that was just to annoy everyone! But I did think 100p was a bargain price for any predator (it still is!) Whatever, I ended up buying more shares while lowering my expectations to 50p and the rest is history. FWIW + WTFDIK I think Sundance losing its appeal against losing its licence put the wind up ZIOC. Suddenly, any deal was better than no deal in the interests of making progress which the licence requires.
Suddenly a lot of money was in danger of evaporating. So, if you are required to stitch a deal together, why not make it as advantageous to the stitcher as possible? Always hoping a higher offer would materialise but if it doesn't ZIOC remains a win-win for the stitcher (in theory). Current SP indicates to me that the RAM deal will go ahead and then fall apart because the overlords weren't serious. I hope I'm wrong and a higher takeover offer materialises - preferably three or four! It's the only way to rescue LTH's future . Could the "big buyer accumulating what they can at 6.6p" be a predator?
Did RAM deliberately trash the SP in order to make it easier for other interested parties? Very pleased the Greens won the by-election and deep respect to the new MP who pointed out "we're all working to line the pockets of billionaires". Maybe we're all investing to line the pockets of billionaires?
"I didn’t grow up wanting to be a politician. I’m a plumber. And two weeks ago, during all this, I also qualified as a plasterer. Because even in chaos, even under pressure, I get things done. I am no different to every single person here in this constituency. I work hard. That’s what we do.
Except things have changed a lot over the last few decades. Because working hard used to get you something. It got you a house. A nice life. Holidays. It got you somewhere.
But now – working hard? What does that get you? Because talk to anyone here and they’ll tell you. The people who work hard but can’t put food on the table. Can’t get their kids school uniforms. Can’t put their heating on. Can’t live off the pension they worked hard to save for. Can’t even begin to dream about ever having a holiday. Ever. Because life has changed. Instead of working for a nice life, we’re working to line the pockets of billionaires. We are being bled dry. I don’t think its extreme or radical to think working hard should get you a nice life. And if you’re not able to work, that you should still have a nice life."
Just hoping Starmer stays as PM until the next General Election which won't be long coming. What's wrong with the Greens legalising drugs? Perfectly sensible as it removes the criminal element. And completely logical: imagine all the taxes the government could extract! And, besides, what else is everyone supposed to do all day after they've lost their job to AI?
