WINE now worth £40m after a strong recovery, double VINO's £20m.
I am thinking as hard as I can. Obviously not hard enough! I note Driving's comments and will adjust my expectations. Looks like I'll get what I'm hoping for but it will just take longer. Meanwhile, I'm closer to the grave each day. Unless, of course, the long-expected RNS suddenly surprises everyone: an American company has offered 200p for ZIOC. Job done! How many counter-offers would that unleash?
Any company at any time is open to a takeover offer! Fact. So you're happy to sit back for God knows how many years and wait for the SP to rise? What are your projections? Instead of attacking me why don't you tell us what you're hoping for?
Probably a two-bagger if you lack imagination and don't understand what a binary bet is.
If you were smart and nimble, you could attempt to jump aboard a moving train and end up under the wheels! I note the usual insufficiently positive response from Mr Market to news of a CEO who will deliver us from evil. Usual tiny volume on what should be a game-changer. Wild talk of £4 or £5 a share but how many years will that take? I want my reward now! Can someone please takeover ZIOC with an offer of 200p per share which would be a bargain! And let the long-suffering shareholders get on with the rest of their lives. Without a takeover offer I think the SP's stuck where it is - living proof of a binary bet. Should it break 10p and keep climbing I will review my position. GLA
I'd be happy with 15p!
No worries! It's all speculation and you have to speculate to accumulate. What amazed me this week was the Taoiseach said: "The objective here is to stop climate change and stop global warming and maybe even be able to reverse it in a few decades time."
My understanding is that it's irreversible but WTFDIK? Are all politicians as stupid as Boris Johnson?
At last some comments more interesting than the usual cut'n'paste. Have to agree with Moneyman64 about offers swept under the carpet. As for a Porsche 911 Dakar I couldn't fit into it and secondhand cars are 40% more than they cost new. And I also agree with my arch-nemesis Veteran10 that 50p wouldn't be a disaster but I think 200p is where the auction should start. And I think we'll all be surprised by the highest bidder!
SP continues to slide - no worries.
Everyone had the chance to buy when the SP was on its uppers! Can't comment on recent difficulties but if it's impossible to buy why isn't the SP higher? ORR investors ALWAYS sell into a rise so where's the rise to make it worth their while?
Then again, what if 50p per share were offered and nobody topped it? With the SP where it is could the BOD honestly say it was not in shareholders' interests to accept such a derisory offer? Bang goes my new house and Porsche 911 Dakar!
Welcome aboard! Or should that be: welcome to this board! Which is not a very welcoming place the closer we get to the final denouement (a tautology if ever I saw one!) Yet again, shaun86 has to put his oar in and have a dig at me: I may not agree with it but I defend to the death his right to insert it. Obviously, judging by the pathetic SP, ZIOC remains a binary bet - either it will be developed or it won't! That's a fact. One of very few as far as ZIOC is concerned. What I want to hear is that the BOD have received a takeover offer (however derisory) as that would surely light the blue touch paper.
Remind me to engage you to write my obituary when the time comes! While I'm in the land of the living I'm slightly concerned about the consequences of LOGP de-listing. I am determined to remain a shareholder but I can envisage de-listed shares being evicted from my ISA at a lower price than I paid so I will then face CGT from that point.
I can't be the only investor facing that prospect so a takeover offer before de-listing would be very welcome!
Good profits/no debt is preferable! But sector at the bottom of a downtrend is even better! Astronomical rise in gold explorers expected if the price of Gold starts heading towards $3k and above. Hyper-astronomical rise for ORR if they can replicate their earlier very high samplings over a much larger area. 1p by Xmas?
Troajan - you'll have to remind me! What's struck me lately is how many companies I was invested in many years ago have gone nowhere! And several have gone bust. I do my best. The most amazing company I used to be invested in is PREM, currently valued @ £66m with 25.87bn shares in issue. Huge rise in Mkt. Cap. combined with total destruction of most shareholders. Obviously the top dog kept drawing a salary! And while I was invested he kept subscribing for more shares which boosted his "skin in the game" which only attracted more shareholders. Nice work if you can get it!
"Is that an example of someone putting 250k on the bid to keep the price down and then removing it end of day?"
Veteran10 and I inhabit different worlds but we're both hoping for the same outcome.
At the same time, I can't imagine anyone wanting to keep the SP low but WTFDIK?
I need a wonderful outcome sooner rather than later as all the properties I imagine buying with my Zanaga jackpot keep being sold! Very sad to see Shane leave the building but he'd not been looking well for a very long time. Saw him live in Cambridge many years ago where he appeared to be drinking Martini Bianco straight from the bottle.
