RE: Other potential suitors11 Feb 2026 15:47
We may not have much time so I think our only hope is one or more higher offers long before RAM gets to claim 10% which reminds me of protection money. Does Sir Mick Davis walk around with a violin case? Shameful behaviour from him and total conflict of interest from AT - how does he sleep at night? I urge every LTH to vote against RAM's proposals. They admit to owning 25% of ZIOC but, obviously, we're in the world of backscratchers so who knows how much more support they have? The BOD has recommended their offer FFS but what is Elphick's position? Is he really happy with this terrible deal? This needs sorting now - going down the legal path could take years and might involve suspension of trading in ZIOC shares which is in nobody's interest. I have been worried about the possible plight of small shareholders in ZIOC for some time and was never fully reassured by fellow shareholders that the overlords valued their reputations so highly they would never harm us. Even further, they were so aligned that what was good for them would be good for us. "We're all in it together" failed to jump the first fence! Money speaks louder as always but I hope RAM are defeated and Sir Mick Davis ends up shunned by far more honourable businessmen who don't shaft fellow shareholders.
