"what is a huge disappointment in your view...? and why you think so" See the current SP! Is it indicating a takeover offer at a huge premium which is what all LTHs want? I haven't sat on my holding for several years in the hope it will hit 20p after ZIOC announces it is developing the mine with help from various other parties. How many years would it then take the SP to hit 100p? Can somebody please takeover ZIOC @ 200p? Like, NOW!
"Life changing RNS could feasibly land on Monday morning or anytime next week."
Not according to Mr Market! ZIOC is turning into the dampest squid ever! I'm sure something will be announced fairly soon but it's going to be a huge disappointment to all LTHs. I hope I'm wrong and a takeover offer arrives as an alternative way forward. GLA!
Thank you Kutzz for that information. Rises keep being sold into but that will soon stop when ORR keeps rising! Or an opportunistic major miner offers an eye-watering sum - 3p? And if a major minor should offer £116m for the company you can imagine what Cameroon is really worth. No complaints - that's Capitalism! Then again, what's £116m to a major miner even if Cameroon ends up being a disappointment? All written off against profits elsewhere. Win-win-win.
All we can do is hope for the best! Whatever GLEN and Elphick decide is an acceptable offer is what we get! Probably crumbs but some are bigger than others and they are not the only VIP shareholders who need rewarding so I would expect a reasonable outcome for PIs. However, I think the Zanaga project will be sold on within a year or two for multiples of what ZIOC investors receive. No complaints - it's Capitalism!
I share Aberdeenman's fears that ZIOC will be sold too cheap! Or, even worse, not at all! All this positive news and this is the best the SP can do? I've always thought Mr Market knows best but in cases like ZIOC he gets accused of taking his time to adjust. We'll see. What's required to send the SP into the stratosphere is something unexpected! So far, the expected has failed.
You do know you're supposed to DYOR, don't you? Never believe anything you read on a BB unless the poster has got it right in the past on more than a few occasions. And then add a pinch of salt. Meanwhile, ZIOC struggles to get past 10p despite good news. And for a company with so few shares in public hands I find mention of an overhang depressing. Even at this late stage, I'd expect a hedge fund to be taking a major position but where are they? Where would the SP be if there was a 20,000,000 buy order? Or several? 400p? We could all sell without worrying about a takeover offer! Bear in mind that ZIOC is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. 400p would set me up for life and if the SP eventually hit 800p I couldn't care less.
Pleased to see a hefty buy just before close of play but he must wish he'd got up earlier and paid 0.1588p at 0804 instead of 0.1784 at 1227. Nothing to worry about when ORR hits 1p as I'm sure it will in 2024. Is 10p by 2026 unrealistic? Assuming the mining of bumper grades, why not? 50p if the price of gold doubles? It may sound fantastic but it's perfectly possible. Please don't ask me to provide evidence for my wishful thinking but, rest assured, ORR is the last share I'll sell as I wind down my PF over the next couple of years. What I need to rescue me is a ZIOC jackpot which would give me some breathing space. GLA & Happy New Year!
"Bonanza grades in Cameroon and we are off to the races!!" Agreed! Buy now or pay 100x later! It's perfectly possible.
Looking back, who thought GGP would hit the jackpot? Hitting a jackpot never comes with instructions - you just have to take a chance! VERY STRONG BUY
Thanks for your support - it's much appreciated. Every board needs a dissenter even if 69% of his PF is invested in ZIOC. Unfortunately, I don't see this ending well, at least as far as jackpot-hunters are concerned. Which means the SP won't hit 10p anytime soon. Always very happy to be proved wrong. Still expecting a takeover offer @ 100p and hopefully further offers will take it to 200p at which point we can all get on with the rest of our lives. I'll be flabbergasted if a takeover offer is £3 or £4 or £5 but WTFDIK? Admittedly, it's a strategic asset which could be worth a lot more than the price of iron ore.
Or it could be worth £billions by not being developed. Meanwhile the SP is where it is and will remain. So many contradictions. Merry Xmas to all ZIOC investors and let's hope we're not still here this time next year!
WINE now worth £40m after a strong recovery, double VINO's £20m.
I am thinking as hard as I can. Obviously not hard enough! I note Driving's comments and will adjust my expectations. Looks like I'll get what I'm hoping for but it will just take longer. Meanwhile, I'm closer to the grave each day. Unless, of course, the long-expected RNS suddenly surprises everyone: an American company has offered 200p for ZIOC. Job done! How many counter-offers would that unleash?
