I guess, Arumel, that the glimmer of light that you can take from the Hemo experience is that their share price was not dissimilar to our own at 0.95p a few months back. We can only hope that we undergo a similar 1p to 15p rise when Sareum issues news of a partnership / licencing deal. It is certainly most frustrating just waiting and waiting.

Come on Tim and the Sar team, this is hitting the news today re Hemo (see below Eli Lilly news just announced) moving forward with a partnership. We really need to hear from Sareum about how things are progressing.

Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals plc is pleased to announce that it has signed a Biological Investigation and Material Supply Agreement ("Agreement") with Eli Lilly and Company ("Lilly"), a leading global pharmaceutical company engaged in the research, development, manufacture and marketing of human pharmaceutical and veterinary products.



Under the Agreement, Lilly will supply the Company with certain biological materials and related confidential information in order for Company to perform research and development activities aimed at the discovery and validation of novel materials ("Materials") to be used for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus ("Lupus") and possibly other autoimmune diseases.

I am sure that the vibe here will quickly change for the better when Sareum announce updates on Sierra, China, Tyk2 licencing and or a research grant. The next 6 months are pivotal. Lets hope that they are planning a raft of announcements. Hopefully 2020 will finally be our year.

I don’t wish to be an apologist for the Sareum bod (I am critical of their lack of commercial success to date and bemused by their woeful PR / comms skills) but I do feel that the next 3-6 months could be the most decisive in the history of Sareum. There are at least 4 substantial prospects that we should be hearing about:
1. Sierra
2. China
3. Tyk2 Licencing
4. Research Grant
We should know about points 1 & 4 within the next quarter, point 2 within the next 5 months & point 3 could arise at any time. These opportunities could and should – if communicated correctly – be the catalyst for the share price to move north.

With all the Govt funding available it would concern me if in 3 months time it was still radio silence.

The only RNS that I'm going to be interested in moving forward is positive scientific data and financial information that increases the value of the company. It is good that they appear to be listening (a bit) but they need to now raise their overall communications strategy and finally deliver on the science to create share holder value.

Significant bonuses have been paid to the CEO and CSO of Sareum of £100,000 for the "success" of the Sierra project with nothing to show for it. They should repay this by purchasing shares in Sareum. This would send a message of confidence.

100% agree Krone. An update from Stephen Parker or Tim Mitchell is required very soon as we are missing opportunity after opportunity to communicate our first class science.

It is time for the Chairman of Sareum plc to communicate to his share holders what he and the ICR are jointly doing to bring back SRA737 from Sierra or what other plans they have to monetise this with on-licence etc. What is the strategy please Stephen? You are slightly missing the point here. What should be happening is Stephen Parker, Chair of Sar, calls Luke Johnson Chair of ICR, and when discussing the lack of progress with the lobbying to progress SRA737 he then suggests that Johnson hands it over to the Sunday Times business desk where he has his own column. Of course Stephen might well have done this.....or maybe not. All I am saying is that they need to deploy as many different approaches as possible to get this moving. I would have expected an update on SRA737 by now from Sareum. John and Tim have awarded themselves £100,000 in bonuses (£50,000 each) for the Sierra "success". As a share holder in Sareum for over 9 years I expect to be kept informed on a regular basis and the Sierra debacle is just another example of their poor communication skills with the share holder base. They've taken the £100,000 bonus so lets see more urgency from all of the parties. What are the NED's and Chairman doing about this?

Potnak, lobbying takes many forms. The ICR might be lobbying Sierra behind the scenes but it hasn’t worked to date so one avenue open to the Chairman of ICR is to either use his own column in the Sunday Times or hand it over to the Business Editor of The Sunday Times to expose how a US company is dragging its heels potentially costing cancer victims their lives. It is surely time for the players to step up to the plate and raise the heat in Sierra to either get SRA737 back or licences / sold to a bigger player who can develop it to its true potential. It is time to raise the anti if behind the scenes lobbying has failed and to park the ICR tank on Sierras front lawn and get SRA737 moving again. It’s dormant status is a scandal and is possibly costing people with cancer their lives.

Yes exactly, as per my post of 14th June they should announce that Sareum and the ICR are hopeful of persuading Sierra’s new management to re-commence its SRA737 programme, including some background information on the potential importance of SRA737. They should include a quote from Luke Johnson, Chair of ICR as part of this announcement. He would attract national coverage bearing in mind who he is and what he has achieved. He could even write about it in his weekly Sunday Times column to put pressure on Sierra. So many tricks that could be being used but for some reason are not.....

Why is Sareum limiting this fantastic data to just its own website (& in some cases not even publishing data on its own site) when this information could be issued as national/international PR material, first person articles and in some cases even as an RNS to champion the best in class science that they have.

Hi there Potnak, if SAR was appearing in the trade press on a regular basis and national medical, pharma and financial journalists were being briefed on Sareum's activities on a regular basis we would be a great deal further down the line than we are now. Normally the first trigger point in creating credibility is due to one or two well placed articles in the trade press (not the Cambridge news). I'm sure you are quite right that the key pharma decision makers know about Sareum but as you say that might not be enough. To get over the finishing line of an M&A deal or licencing deal you have to create desire / interest / hunger / fomo about a company and that is what is lacking currently.

Hi Potnak, if the share price was stable at above 1-2p in readiness for blast off then fine. I've been invested in SAR for a very long time and Tim and John are missing opportunity after opportunity. They are scientists so they have an opinion, they have the evidence of some superb data and they are operating in a hot news arena. They could and should be communicating more with the media and their share holders. The reality is that Tim and John are not just scientists they run a business and should spend a bit of time creating awareness of SAR with key national journalists which will 1: help achieve licencing deals and 2: raise the share price. It is not complicated.

Stoney, this is exactly the kind of information that John and Tim can be briefing the media on. They have an opinion, they have the science, the evidence and it's a hot news topic. Why since April have they not done so? Why are they holding back on briefing the media about TYK2 also? If they start raising the SAR profile it will bring licencing partners to their door. It will also help the share price. They appear to be missing every trick in the book.

SAR was quite adept at "noting" what Sierra was up to with an RNS. Why not an RNS today noting Dexamethasone and outlining the SAR data? This is not rocket science. It's a great opportunity for SAR to be seen. Come on John and Tim or the NED's or Chairman now is the time to make some noise. First an RNS then followed up media briefing notes to national journalists that cover medicine, pharma and company news.

Even one of those bland SAR style Sierra RNS ' would at least help raise our profile at a pivotal moment and put SAR in the mix e.g. "Sareum notes with interest the news about Dexamethasone...plus include some of the TYK2 background data. This should be RNS'd today. Not rocket science. SAR must start shouting about what it does and be prepared when appropriate to comment on breaking news that is pertinent to Sareum and the sector. I just don't understand why they are not doing this. Even if there was a deal going on behind the scenes it only strenghtens the SAR hand with a prospective suitor further. Come on John and Tim what is your view on this breaking news today re Dexamethasone?

If SAR do have a view on Dexamethasone they should be seen to be commenting on it. No point in being best in class if no one then knows about the tolerability of our TYK2 with Dexamethasone. If we have an angle Tim and John should brief Citigate today to get us some media coverage to help add credibility to our proposition in front of the pharma sector and to get Sar seen as a key mover and shaker in the sector. It's not rocket science. It just needs to be actioned. Stop sitting on this great data Tim and John and start shouting about it.

Yes even better if it goes to Gilhead rather than back home to Sar/ICR. Eitherway, out of Sierra is a must moving forward but would be much happier if it was to Gilhead or another serious player. We need to think big and not play around with small players like Sierra. We have world class expertise we just need to shout about it and get cracking.
