Aber, it's partly to do with the fact that it is being presented, by default, as old news. The business secretary's quote from the attached press release is dated November 4th. The news media deal in current news not quotes from over a month ago. Our RNS is well written with some superb scientific messaging but scores an own goal by being lazy and not getting an up to date quote from the business secretary. This will not work with the media or the investment community who can see it is just a re-hash of what was communicated on Oct 27th and Nov 4th. When the follow up RNS is released confirming the success of the study (hopefully) that is when the share price will really move. If you look at N4P today (up over 45% so far today) their CEO is talking up his company and how his product could be of "significant interest to multiple vaccine developers". Whilst our release is scientific it is still missing out this type of proactive commercial £££ messaging. There is no reason why John (or Tim or Stephen) could not be saying in our release today (& previously) that this could be of interest to multiple pharmaceutical co's. They haven't, they've just presumed that the market will assume that. Sometimes you have to communicate the obvious and repeat it several times.

I agree. Tim needs to concentrate on the science at Sareum alongside John and be replaced with a commercial & deals driven CEO. The end of 2020 seemed fair enough to me when this was last being discussed on this forum. Well here we are 12-18 months later. Personally, unless there is conclusive evidence of deal making (be it licencing or a takeover) soon then the NED's should have their contracts terminated along with Stephen Parker. They have brought nothing to the Sareum party that is tangible or visible as far as I can see (we certainly have not seen or been informed what they have contributed or achieved on our behalf). Therefore, unless they can demonstrate otherwise at the AGM or in Q1 in 2021 the NED's and Chair should all be removed. The PI's have the volume of shares to carry this out. No II's onboard to stop this. Obviously, like most people here I am hoping for licencing or takeover news very very soon but we appear to be sliding back to the radio silence days of rather taking the share holders for granted. I hope that I am wrong and the silence is due to an NDA.

Good point. Rather than radio silence from Tim and John they have a window to talk up their Covid Grant news (and at some juncture some data to support it). Covid is not all about vaccines and Sareum could explain what their grant research proposal was aiming to achieve. As you say a wonderful opportunity for Sareum to communicate what they know and what their science could do in the Covid space. This would also be good news for our share price.

I hear what you are saying but for me a proactive RNS (rather than share chat from an informed poster on here) would be much more preferable than the usual silence from SAR. I've been invested in SAR for over a decade so I am well used to the radio silence. I just feel that my investment in SAR would be worth substantially more if they were better at their PR/comms. The more people that know about SAR's clever science the better. Here's to the next few months. I'm sure it will be a profitable period for us all.

My concern is that one of our intrepid (& brilliant) researchers here will find out from UKRI. It will then be consequently posted on here first before being followed up by Sareum via RNS and the opportunity for a news event will have been missed. We've seen this a few times this year already where posts have appeared and then an RNS or tweet has followed and it doesn't really help our share price. Those bland tweets just act as a throw away rather than creating real investor interest via the official channels, which as we all know are digested by a wider group of investors (with all due respect to this share chat)

Following the “We are delighted that UKRI has indicated its conditional support for our programme to investigate the therapeutic potential of SDC-1801, our proprietary TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor, in severe phase COVID-19", I must admit that I was hoping for more news by now:
1. I was assuming that "A further announcement will be made in due course as and when appropriate", meant a follow up RNS once the "indication" became a formal grant. i.e. to keep the news flow momentum going on this news worthy topic to stimulate investor interest in Sareum. I'm presuming that 4 weeks on Sareum have now received more than an indication and that funds are in the bank or there is at least final documentation? The market should be be kept in the loop following the initial RNS.
2. What is the plan / are they partnering with another pharma on it etc.
Surely, they have learnt from our peers that the days of being coy with information relevant to share holders just holds the share price back?

A great reminder of what's possible and realistic here soon. RMS' rise from 0.2p to 7p and Hemogenyx's rise from 1p to 15p could happen here imminently.

re Merck MSD, there were a few posts on here about this from Brighty1 and Damion a couple of months ago. I think both of them felt there was a connection with Merck and Sareum that was worth exploring further and they were trying to join up the dots. Looks as though they were right about MSD. Another great example of the credibility of this forum and its posters. MSD's participation with 737 would clearly be a game changer. Brilliant research everyone. Here is to an interesting week.

I think this is actually better news than people think. It demonstrates that Stephen Dilly, CEO of Sierra, is wishing to progress with 737. That has to be a good thing. It means progress is being made and that we are closer to a milestone payment and additional credibility if our science can be proven to work. That is surely GOOD news. The size of the milestone is less relevant at this stage.

I followed Thoth's suggestion on this a few weeks ago. I'm old school so I had to actually speak to my broker on the phone. Yes, a human being not a computer! For the record I instructed just over 6.5 million shares in SAR to be set at £1.50 sell. I hope this comes off for us all. I've been a shareholder in SAR for over a decade.

Back in May and June I made the point that Sinovac would appear to be the Chinese bio-co that could quickly advance the Sareum FLT3+Aurora kinase inhibitor programme. However, it was pointed out on here by others that this was highly unlikely (the Chinese plc was not listed on the right stock market / vaccine not Sar's area etc). I researched the counter points which were all valid and in the end I agreed that it probably wasn't Sinovac or Sinopharm. Interestingly though their product portfolio includes vaccines against enterovirus71 (EV71), hepatitis A and B, seasonal influenza, H5N1 pandemic influenza (avian flu), H1N1 influenza (swine flu), varicella and mumps &when you dig a bit deeper Sinovac is not just in the vaccine business. They have been developing their non vaccine portfolio and Sareum's FLT3+Aurora kinase inhibitor programme is the perfect fit for them in the race to secure a Covid cure. We will find out soon enough who it is (hopefully by January at the latest with a nice chunky milestone and licencing deal) but I was interested to read your post as it re-ignited my initial interest in the mystery Chinese partnership.

An official Sareum Tweet rather than a Stephen Parker Tweet, hopefully Num4. This is absolutely the kind of thing Sareum must routinely do whilst we await the next RNS. Awareness & momentum are unquestionably required now so we don't go back to the days / weeks / months of silence.

Sareum did not issue a speeding ticket when the share price was rising. This was - and is - good news for Sareum investors. In my view this is partially due to the Company expecting that the US patent will be granted within three months (from Oct 8th) . The silence during the rise was because, in my opinion, Sareum knows it will have approved patent protection across all major territories. John Reader also added fuel to the fire by saying that the "Board believes that the patent will enhance the value of its TYK2/JAK1 inhibitor programmes and the Company's negotiating position as it continues to engage in discussions with potential licence partners." Notice the wording "continues". This was the final piece of the jigsaw moment in my opinion and once the patent is confirmed Sareum will be sold to the highest bidder. So, for those that are considering selling just be careful as there is a lot going on here.

Yes, I think you are right that we will be heading towards the 20p range soon once the real momentum commenced. Others on here have highlighted Val went from 6p to 60p in a few weeks, Hemo went from 1.8p to 15p in 1 week, PYC went from 4p to 30p in 4 days and then there’s Odx, Sng, Ncyt, Avct, N4p, Ygen all of which have rocketed. We know such gains can happen in the pharma sector. A 10 times increase from here is possible for SAR. Let’s see 20p soon and then Thoth’s “2 quid” a share thereafter.

Yes, "A couple of quid". I saw that! And why not. If we have the science / cure for Covid then a couple of quid will look cheap......

Re: Sareum's milestone from Sierra. That is a really excellent explanation and thought process RMM. You always make sense. I still feel that the 737 news will come prior to the FLT China news. I also do agree with the many here who suggest that the China vaccine opportunity could be the real biggie. Even so a £5 million milestone from 737 would be transformational in the short/medium term for Sareum. I am hoping that we hear about it from Stephen Dilly and his team soon. There's just so much news to come from Sareum. I wonder what the next RNS will be? I'm certainly not discounting a takeover.

For those new investors who have recently joined the SAR share register just to clarify that the £5 million 737 milestone would be transformational for Sareum from a commercial financial point of view and for your investment. it would have a major impact on our share price. £5 million to a company like Sarfeum is massive. Then add our Covid news and licencing / partnering to develop it, ChK1 Aorora FLT+3 TYK2 1801/ 1802 SKIL, Lupus licencing deals and even the possibility of a takeover. You are in the right share for big gains.

I remember Brighty posting one of his now infamous lists of how NCYT had gone up to about 250p from 7p (remember those days, it is now 914p and has been over 1200p!) and it galvanized a few on here to contact Tim Mitchell and Stephen Parker. The response was pretty vague about not wanting to ramp the share price etc but it did mention "the Takeover Panel" which raised a few eyebrows and comments from the long term shareholders on here. Takeovers do take many months to negotiate and the recent US patent and Gov't grant will be helping make Sareum even more irresistible - for the right price.
