Phew. Thank goodness I exited last week at 63p. 4 years to make a 100%+ gain from 28p days of 2020 but - in addition to this motor finance albatross RNS - like many I'm not encouraged by the vibe of possible 25% windfall taxes and a PM/Chancellor taking aim at landlords and shareholders. How do they think we are able to afford property and shares? We worked for them. A crazy and vindictive approach to creating a booming economy if you are going to penalise entrepreneurs for doing well! This will stop wealth creation in its tracks. Where is their beloved tax going to come from then????

Hmmmm. MGC Pharma ring any bells? It should. The share price collapsed. There was a consolidation / rinse and repeat which significantly - and I mean significantly - wiped out most PI shareholders. It's now called Argent Bio. As an investor it happens and you take the brickbats with the glory but I tend to studiously avoid names / individuals I won't back again under any circumstances when this kind of thing happens. One of those names is involved here which has prevented me from investing more funds at these lowly prices. I believe in the science and feel we will probably still get there in the end (it's afterall all about the science which I invested in many moons ago) but I am wary of who advised who especially when it comes to the equity prepayment facility with RF and the merits of choosing this form of fund raising. The claim was that it was the best option. For who? I'm not so sure it was in the best interests of shareholders . The equity prepayment facility was - and still is from a credibility point of view - a huge negative that the share price is struggling to still recover from. It is clearly frustrating for many on here to read posts extolling the excellent stewardship of our fund raises as RF was a disaster and the share price still reflects this. Confidence needs to be restored.

Well said Aber. The BOD have overseen 440p to 10p approx. Nothing to be proud of. The 3rd August, 2023, Equity Prepayment Facility deal was a complete and utter disaster for PI's as the money raised could have been raised via PI's at the time (as was demonstrated by the PI appetite to buy in earlier this year to bring the fiasco to and end). PI's are often overlooked and shut out. Just look at the 10p raise. i.e. Many PI's were unable to subscribe due to the limited number of financial organisations invited to participate. In summary, there is a very specific reason why the share price plunged to 10p from its 440p+ high and it was not to do with the science but mostly to do with the raising of cash via an Equity Prepayment Facility which spooked the market. If the company does not up its comms & continues to not hit deadlines and fail to explain these delays, then the market is likely to be spooked again if radio silence continues to be the modus operandi. It is time for the BOD to communicate regularly with the market and to create excitement and hunger for its science.

Baserite is correct about talking up the bigger picture for Genedrive, especially when you look at Ian Gilham's track record of selling 2 pharma businesses for hundreds of millions each. Therefore rather than all this small talk of being happy with 6p or 15p etc you should be looking at 50p+ a share minimum. For example, Axis, where he was ceo, was sold for £235 million and he sold Horizon for £296 million. That's a combined £531 Million / Half a Billion pounds+. He's a serious dealmaker. This is more like the kind of deal our Chairman is probably interested in. i.e. all this talk of a 5p is way off the mark. Make that 50p a share+ for starters would be my guess and probably to a big pharma. No wonder he has been buying so many GDR shares this year!

Yes and we are only at this awful bargain basement share price because of recent funding worries (now a thing of the past) due to the self inflicted RF fiasco mess. That's been dealt with and we now have millions in the bank to progress with P2 trials. i.e. The Sareum share price should start to climb much higher now back to where it was before the naive RF deal. i.e. it's always been finance & never the science with Sareum that's been a drag on the share price.

Aber, we are on the same page about this being the equivalent of 0.5p ish back in 2021 and what a complete joke of a share price it is now. Nothing for the BOD to be proud of. It's a shocking indictment of some very poor financial management / decision making but what's happened has happened. Could history be about to repeat itself positively though with our share price?

1. Three years ago on July 1st 2021 we were briefed that SDC-1801 in trials was superior to the anti-inflammatory steroid dexamethasone and similar to baricitinib.

2. In the 12 months run up to this news for those that had bought in at 14p (0.28p old money) they multi-bagged x 32 at 448p (8.9p old money).

3. We are indisputably much more advanced scientifically as a clinical business than we were in 2021 when most of the rise was based on hype and hope.

4. It does appear this time around that we actually have the data to prove to big pharma that we are "Phase 2 Ready", which in our sector is an invitation for big pharma to buy in to a joint trial at a multi million price.

5. Sareum plc with SRA737 and SDC1802 combined with SDC1801 should command a much higher value as a P2 clinical company. There was a reason why the market thought we were worth the equivalent share price of 440p before. Who's to say it can't happen again on the back of good news. Clearly, the new II / HNWI's investing in the latest fund raises of the last few months think it has potential.

Num4. Post of the day. You've nailed it. This is one of the best RNS' from SAR in more than 2 years. With the right newsflow this will move up quickly now, as long as the Bod do not hide in their bunker again. They need to rev up the comms now on 737, 1801 and 1802.

Yes, P2 is where the money is when it comes to licencing and M&A activity. This is almost reminiscent of the halcyon days of Sareum's equity fund raises by key investors in 2021 when the share price rose to its all time high. Confidence, fully funded and a clear strategy to Phase 2 is what has been lacking for the last 3 years. This is more like it. Just don't go silent on us again please BOD. Keep the newsflow coming now re your plans for 1801 phase 2 trials / licencing and what you plan for 1802.

Yes and Roche, Eli Lilly, Johnson & Johnson and Astra Zeneca have all been actively investing in pre clinical companies this year. Could one of these mega players be about to swoop in with a licencing deal with HEMO? Afterall, Lilly know all about HEMO from the COVID research. Plus if not a licencing deal how about a takeover? Roche paid Carmot Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company $2.7 billion earlier this year. J&J paid £2 Billion this year for Ambrx, another clinical stage company and also in 2024 Astra Zeneca paid £1 Billion for Amolyt, yet another clinical-stage pharma. It's probably a licencing agreement first but you never know in this sector. Big bucks are regularly paid for small companies such as HEMO.

1. What were we asked to look at? The Scottish Health Technologies Group (SHTG) has been asked to review the evidence for clopidogrel genotype testing after ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA). Draft diagnostics guidance from NICE (2024) recommends offering genotype testing to people who are being considered for clopidogrel after having an ischaemic stroke or TIA. This SHTG assessment will summarise the NICE guidance and capture additional evidence relevant to decision making in Scotland (for example, local data, patient views, and cost implications).

2. Why is this important? In 2021–2022, there were 9,549 confirmed ischaemic strokes and an estimated 3,763 TIAs in Scotland. People who have had a stroke or TIA are at increased risk of having another stroke. They are often prescribed an antiplatelet medication, such as clopidogrel, to reduce their risk of stroke recurrence. An estimated 28.7% of people prescribed clopidogrel in the UK are resistant. This means they cannot metabolise clopidogrel and their stroke risk is not reduced. Clopidogrel resistance can be caused by mutations in the CYP2C19 gene. Relevant mutations can be identified using genotype testing. This allows clinicians to prescribe a more effective antiplatelet medication for affected patients.

Yes, big money is going to be seriously looking at Tanzania and HE1 regarding the commercial helium discovery at Itumbula. This month is also a pivotal time in our sector. All the significant helium offtakers and industry bigwigs will be at the "helium super summit" in Houston at the end of the month. They'll already be up to speed regarding HE1's "commercial discovery at Itumbula". It is more than likely that Lorna Blaisse will be using the summit as a great opportunity to cement a JV deal with a multi-national, such as Linde, Exxon, Messer, APD, Siemens, Air Liquide, Schlumberger SLB, Helium24, Glencore, Trafigura etc. The share price will then go through the roof when that is announced. HE1 is on track to become one of the premier Helium producers in the world. We know it. The industry knows it and soon the share price will reflect this. Not long to wait now for news.

Very intriguing trading in MOS every day at 4.35pm.

1. A x 10 is the most likely short term outcome if you are weighing HE1 up as an investment opportunity.

2. DYOR but you only have to see what's happened this year at ROAD and MOS. Both are up x 10, the latter in the last couple of months.

3. AIM has a habit of creating X 10 monster gains for the astute investor.

4. Then there's PPP and its x 23 gain this year, with its share price climbing from 0.525p to 12.20p.

All the major players in the helium space are going to be fully up to speed regarding HE1's statement that helium is flowing to the surface in "such significant concentrations" and that this "has confirmed a globally unique helium producing province".

In a nutshell, HE1 is big news in our industry as well as being one of the most traded stocks in 2024. There won't be many CEO's in this industry unaware of the helium levels that have been found at Itumbula. Just watch this share price rocket when we get the mining licence over the line and a JV or M&A RNS follows. e.g. GGP went from below 0.60p a share to over 30p a share with its Newcrest JV. Patience is the name of the game now. Shouldn't be too long for news though.
