It’s the x div date that matters since after that date the shares aren’t bought with the benefit of the (12.26p this quarter) dividend payment being included. Dollar strength might be a factor or concerns that interest rate moves might choke off demand but the latter is a bit of a reach given the fed haven’t seen that as happening before 2023

Nice chunk of change now I’ve added quite a few RDSB over past 6m but I can’t wait to see where BOD pitch divi once debt reduction target has been hit - think I read company has sanction to buy back up to 783m shares so there’ll be a bit of a trade off albeit the more shares they cancel the less dividends will cost the company going forward and the larger my relative stake will be. It’s my ambition to own one millionth of the B shares so 1% of 1% of 1% - just an arbitrary thing but gives me a buzz to think about that GLA DYOR

Couldn’t agree more - though it should be telegraphed by the fundamentals of RDS that at current OP it’s a cash machine spitting out billions of dollars the SP will move when the arbs are ready to move in ergo once tte debt target is hit and the div policy is put in public domain
I’m a patient holder that’s been topping up to overweight simply because there appears a disconnect between current SP and value of underlying commodities
Time will tell but roll on 29th July and GLA to the investors who don’t rely on second guessing price volatility along the way

Last year figures to 31 December were reported 25 June but that’s probably irrelevant as a guide to this year timetable

Wished I did but I’m pretty sure the lack of news is hurting SP which has now slipped below 5p for first time in a while
Doubt there’s any information on company site so May need to trawl the net for articles but if I spot anything I’ll post

I think the lack of news when so much of significance is going on in the sector is irritating but I’m holding a relatively small position of only 10,000 shares as regarded this as a multi bagged or a dead stick and with smaller companies there’s seldom much in between

I still think the company has bags of potential but there appears nervousness over what the FCA are playing at since I doubt any of their executives ever had a patchy credit history or needed a sub prime lender. They should consider the alternative of pushing people into the hands of loan sharks but the problem of claims companies exploiting the borrowers and creating moral hazard the regulator then tried to legislate for is problematic for this sector IMHO

Brent just hit a two year high and RDSB response was to be “less down” today in an admittedly falling FTSE
As someone else mentioned on this BB She’ll must be taking in the cash based on this OP
Also activists need to realise transition has to be funded from conventional income streams and their little country can’t manage right now without oil and petroleum products as others have observed this will either be appealed or RDS will move HQ
