408000 sold and 248000 bought so far today. Not surprised that a few people have taken profit and that the sp has settled around 5/5.25p Taylor Wimpey which has recently been on a decline has today moved upwards and Traf is in as good if not better position than TW plus it's a small niche company operating in SE England near London and with a driving boss. Should do well so like Silvana am hanging in there. GLA
Thanks for that. Had thought of taking some profit at 5.75 but too late and anyway encouraged by the news in general, the various posts and the excess of buys over sells. Holding on now for double figures! At least that's today's plan.
Perhaps on a larger scale Taylor Wimpey still offer value for money below 100p. GLA and DYOR. On the other hand TRAF has a lot to offer particularly with a boss who has a good record in building up and selling on. Main thing is to have confidence as the spread can be wide and as the warnings say shares go down as well as up. I like TRAF!
Per LSE there have been approx 1.8m shares sold today and 40,000 shares bought despite which the price has gone up marginally. Can somebody please explain the logic of this. I recently bought in as the company looked as if it is going the right way with a go-ahead CEO.
Talking of selling in volume buying in volume not easy either! Surprised that market not more bullish on AGM result and residential property market in general. Perhaps it proves that one should sell on rumour and buy on fact. Looks hopeful for the future and CEO has good track record..
The market sadly only rewards super results. These are good but no div as yet and a few reductions in income even if planned. Thorntons Direct down 10%. As in all results the good bits are at the beginning! Good that debt reduced but not hugely. Could be a good bet for the future but preferred short term gain.
The sp has dropped by over 10% in about a week, Admittedly it had risen fast too over the last 2 weeks reaching nearly 450p. Is there any expalanation for this recent extreme volatility. - sharply up sharply down? I can find nothing on the internet. I like this company but find this recent hike and drop somewaht unsettling.
It looks as if they have just saved themselves 3 p per share. Is it now a done deal? The cash element has gone up about 50 p which is something. Arsenal58 you were right and I am glad I finally pressed the button.
I am beginning to wonder if Schneider are going to walk away with this or with the current lack of interest and optimistic sp they w ill come in at a lower figure. Almost tempted to buy back in - almost!!
After disposal of Islands at 807M Dollars CWC seems to have reduced debt from 1.388M Dollars to 263M Dollars which would suggest an operating reduction of 320 M Dollars whcih is not bad for 3 months. If they keep that up the debt will be wiped out in less than a year.
Hi there. I agree re Dominican Republic. and indeed that sp will not move much until cost cutting exercise concluded. How close is CWC to Columbus - any prospect of a tie-up or even take-over (by Columbus not other way round as they are so much bigger)? Future seems interesting to me.
Having done a bit of research it seems that Monaco may not give approval to hte sale of CWC's operation there. This would mean that CWC would buy back the 25% sold and continue to operate there and in the Seychelles. This as they (CWC) say is not a bad problem, to have as Monaco is very profitable but does it upset future expansion and investment plans and indeed containing the debt? Cannot see the SP soaring on this news - perhaps we will be below 40p again??
..today ends with the words" We are continuing to progress the Seychelles and Monaco disposals but at this time there is no further update." I had thoiught it was a done deal. Does this mean it could fall by the wayside thus upsetting financial predictions?r
Yes you were right It was apparently Walter Oil & Gas in Houston and the well was off Louisiana. Let's hope that was the reasdon for the drop and that tomorrow will bring good news. Ok for the long term I guess. It should be!
2.5% so far and Friday is still 2 days away! Anybody got a clue what is hitting SP? It should be going up!
