What makes you say hedge funds are the cause, have you read somewhere that they are doing this to DLG ?

As a long term eis investor with them I know all about lemons ripening before plums....
They do have some in their eis portfolis which look hopeful to me but "big brother" normally goes in on a suitable further fundraise. As you say a lot of cash and looking to raise £50m more for Northern vct shortly, so a question, if an eis looks promising enough to go in to a vctas a follow on investment not a start up, who decides if the vct get it or big brother ?
I suggest we know the answer.

It is indeed peculiar why the "ramper trolls" are so prevalent on this board, it is also peculiar how bitter they appear to be when shown up for what they try (rather ineptly) to do.
One rather gets the feeling that the Big Daddy troll pulls their strings.
Whatever, it is of no relevance as whatever the latest pontification may be it is a pretty safe bet to go against it.
Maybe lockdown did cause the keyboard warriors to think they are all Gordon Gekko's ?

A quiet week this week for the Mars board, surprising isn't it that after a "down" week all the rampers appear loath to make their Mystic Meg like predictions ?
This time last week we had a MM predicting the SP would be 82p by end of business today when they were about 77p.
Now they are about 9p under that MM prediction I feel sincerely sorry for anyone who bit on that hook Monday morning !
Perhaps these rampers could pay more attention to Dear Deirdre, she appears to be kinder on the wallet ?

It paid 20 Nov last year and 22 Nov in 2019 so it still has time to go xd.
I'd be surprised if they don't pay as they are doing a fund raise at present on 2 of their vct's so not wishing to put the punters off ???

I saw their presentation at an Amati vct AGM shortly after their float, after that I had an email conversation with a fund manager there as they came over as a high priced Skype, that was also the general view after that AGM from other Amati shareholders.
I was told they "added value" to conference calls, quite how I could never establish, but they tried to talk a good game, sadly the proof of the pudding is in the eating...
And a lot of people got badly scorched.
I bet the board do not care though.

VCT's can not go short, it breaches their rules.
Herald is a well known successful Investment Trust, run by the same lady for many years, I have never been aware of her going short. Is is most certainly not a VCY
The VCT which did hold this stock, Amati, according to the FT is no longer a holder, again they bought in but then took their loss by selling, no shorting involved.
Best to stick to the facts eh ?
