Still hanging in CNE for a take over and of course my true live Saga. But might dabble here before the next TU.

Waiting for a bid on my second holding CNE. Its £1.94 but nav is £3 plus with £2.40 of it cash. They are proposing a special div of 75p in the new year but I'm hoping bid before then. Fab opportunity for medium size oiler to use equity to purchase cairn cash. If that comes good a bit tempted by Rox and Beach's CARD but need in before Xmas TU. I will keep an eye on Metro

This is a pretty friendly board and everyone gets on well and I like being here. When you post about £2.50 with no evidence or arguments ( I recollect you talked about fuel and I responded with on fuel being a small part of opperations) board members get peed off. I would concur there are some rose tinted views on here and I personally have researched Tour to death and its a dog.
Unfotunatly some of your postings are a red flag for me and others. I'm looking at CARD like beach and Rox. I have to say I don't like retail but £35m fcf in the six months to 31st July in a pandemic is seriously impressive. I would not come over to your boards and dish them with no evidence or facts and just asking similer of you. Good luck in your investments

Jed two on here Millionaire and Alnwick have fairly eyewatering predictions. The rest appear to me to see value but at more modest amounts.
I've read your posts and you seem an OK guy. Just wonder what the interest in Saga is ? If you have some financial interest in it going down and you are right fair play to you. Just interested on why this board and why Saga

I do recollect correcting someone a week or so aga who said the bonds were secured against the ships.
Just checked and that was October 25th and yes Oogle ! That is of course not possible as we don't own the ships.
Oogle once bitten twice shy good if you could do a little more due diligence on the factuality of your posts.
We can agree on Saga doing well and being undervalued.

I've been shafted on AIM over the years and promised myself not to go there again. Cne is not AIM but something feels amiss and its allways us at the bottom of the chain that suffer.

Oogle for balance and completess you are materially understanding Saga,s debt position.
1 - £400m of bonds is debt
2 - ships financing is £500m of debt.
Yes we pushed the maturity of some of the bonds out to 2026 and we have the ships as security. But they are debt .
If we did not have £900m of debt we would be £8 now based on a very healthy balance sheet
Agree everything that has been said about markets. Believe in this company. But market perceives us as high risk (travel ) and heavily indebted. What they miss is profit potential of insurance and steller forward bookings on cruise which hopefully they will wake up to.

Is the volume right 736k of shares at 9.30 on no news. Only have this board to look at and all my other shares are at par. If it is right does it signal news flow?

Perturbed I feel your pain. I do think we need some news before Jan (accounts) to stop the rot. Long shot but
- directors purchase
- sale of titan even with a golden hello
- major shareholder aka Elliott declares sees value like us.
- a one off rns on cruise booking margins which we feel are pretty good.
Like many have said on here definitely has value and £180m cash means little or no risk but one for the long term not sure

Nic a 0.6% cost is possible if you started with say £5000 as your base.
I'm not advocating it and we agree the change on the day of a recommendation is a fiddle.
But as Olnsey and I are saying the principle is 100% real and replicable. I have No view on if it works I suspect not

Olmney I don't see how Nic can say its not real. That statement is almost Trumpian in character. Like you I can see it follow it and the numbers add up.
For every share they win like Saga they may have lots of other shares losing,. In addition theirs dealing costs and the fiddle of using the day before price. I would accept it rubbish and of no worth but it is real and I won't have otherwise.
Nic Trump is looking for lead auditors for state investigations into election results in Wisconsin, Mitchigan and Georgia. The main qualification is the ability to convincingly represent fact as fiction. Might be worth a look ?

Thanks nic I'm not sure I agree it's not real !!! The advice is real so anyone can follow it and buy or sell. From that you can work out your own individual gain / loss if you chose to follow it.
As to whether it works absolutely no idea but would doubt it.

What I don't like about BBs is when they call a share they benchmark against the opening price so £3.08 rather than the closing price of £3.15 which we would take if we followed them. They are circa 12% up since April on circa 15 advices - adjust for dealing costs and my point about opening not closing price and following them I suspect you would be down.
That said they have had some huge calls
-Sell at 3.59 to reccomended buy today
- Sell at 4.40 all the way down to 3.23
- buy at 2.75 all the way up to £3.96
Let's hope for mine and Millionaires sake this time is a huge call, and there is no sell reccomendation coming in a few days !

Millionaire 314 to sell at the moment back down the snake. We both know this is undervalued and my exit is far lower than yours. Needs the patience of a Saint and let's hope we are both not here and waiting in two years time else we are doomed :)

Dark like Emerald you have strong opinions in one direction. This board has been through this a few times and saev who is knowledge and balanced like Stanley presented that case for a sale increased opp ex and declinng yields and heavy decommissioning costs.
I think on balance it must still be a good deal unless key shareholders have some blurred conflict of interest with Waldorf as I suggested

Knight i ask myself that a lot - potentially conflicted interests re Waldorf. Not illegal as they rank pari passu with us re voting rights. And board has no responsibility to declare this if the themselves and wholly independent
