Lack of trust means any RNS except receipt of DRC funds- (with some collaboration of actual receipt to a non Cypriot bank) will not create a stampede of low worth net investors ready to invest. Excepting the Earl who spins more plates than Amazon

We are making the assumption the samples came from the stockpile. They are driven you say by the wants and needs of the offtaker.

Had they put that in the RNS and been more specific re that point and the sample being representative of the needs of the buyer the SP might be a lot higher.

If we park is it representative Helpful seems to be suggesting we don't need JORC for offtake agreement.

So this is about selling the stockpile nothing more. Presumably a buyer will need to do their own tests ?

If we knew the size of the stockpile we could possibly try to establish a worth but to the best of my knowledge we've never been told.

The job of the lab is to accurately test what is given to them. Everybody accepts the results are accurate even the bashers.

What we are querying is whether the sample was representative.

Tricky other board says rock chip not allowable under JORC hence no mention.

The key question is then who provides oversight over the sample selection and representation ? RRR ? The new guy with 50 years of experience. I still can't get over 2kg 8kg in total. Decision making on the weight of a small baby ?

Helpful the company has done very little over the years to generate shareholder trust. Perhaps this is a new begining but lots of legitimate questions need answering first. Paramount is was the sampling fully representative and why so small .

Zumore rest assured the Chinese will redo this before signing anything. I was surprised by 2kg of sample only its amazingly small. Any serious invester would surely need to do a lot of due dilligence.

At face value the results are good. Struggling with how you get a random and representative sample from a stockpile and why the tests were not done far earlier pre mining. I'm sure the Chinese and others will do there due diligence. Good luck with the SP today but keep your wits about you on this share.

Vista the notes make it very clear the gain in aquisition is non cash and not subject to tax. Take it out business as usual profit £35m. Nothing misleading complety factual.

I get most on here are trying to move on from a terrible deal but stand alone SQZ would have made that on its own. Spread across a smaller number of shareholders greater EPS dividend and higher SP . See what Mitch has to say but nothing in here very exciting and indicating the Tailwind deal is adding any incremental value.

Sorry NKOTB you are blind sided by these results.

£140m of the £175m PBT is a gain on aquistion ( non cash) that the accouts tell you is outside of the scope of tax. So we made £35m on a recurring basis.

Better that HBR due to losses acquired from Tailwind.

My question for the board is what did SQZ make on its own. Its quite clear we made more than £35m and we would have more cash and more dividends.

Deal is as crap as you and other said it was for a long time. We can't change it but the BoD should not be let off the hook.

I love the way in demonstrating EPS has gone up from 43p to 53p they take the whole of the profit on aquisition a one off event and then weight the shares down for a three month impactor aquisition

Of course EPS will go down due to tax and prices.

The key question is how much and what's the relative contribution of the Tailwind vs Serica Assets.

That metric as presented insults the intelligence of investors.

Some good posters on here but the guidance figures are a shocker.

Hbr interim results 24th Aug 191k boepd. Guidance a narrow band 185k - 195k.

Sqz interim 19th Sept 49.3 boepd

Guidance far lower than actual and a huge band of 40 -45k.

Implies large H2 reduction and hiding bad news. They have not been more specific as it will be closer to 40k than 45k.
