We still the same timeline for Havieron but that RNS for the WDD is just outstanding.

I was chatting to Paddy yesterday about the WDD and my thoughts, he was getting excited.

I’m divulging my theories at a meeting in Theale tonight perhaps a few more will get excited. I’m keeping stum in the meantime time. 🤐🤣

It’s definitely the WDD to progress first in my view. It’s our Hav2.

Infrastructure required for WDD

1.5km decline

Plus stoping declines accesses 700-1000m

Vent shaft

Havieron:-

Paste plant

Primary crusher plant

Evaporation ponds

800m decline to ore surface

1.5 to 2Km of decline for first ore production

For first phase production maybe another 5km maybe more

I’ve had a problem posting but admin sorted it out this morning.

Shaun has mentioned that long lead items have been ordered.

Some on here need to think if they go full pelt on Havieron it will cost with having to borrow money, taking it slower means the money is rolling in from Telfer funding this development.

The focus now has to be the West Dome deeps not Havieron it’s far closer to production in terms of exploration, modelling , infrastructure, permitting.

I’m super excited by the West Dome Deeps.

There’s no problem with the aquifer or Decline

The 2014 report showed a high grade pod and a shadow low grade these 2 together looked like they could produce a fair quantity of gold but the sketches were vague.

The admissions document defined the high grade a bit more and indicated less than 500koz, this RNS is showing around the 500koz . A good result bearing in mind the drills couldn’t reach half of it.

The horizontal extent is unknown at this point in time and the fluid pathway/s has not been found. All this will have a bearing on a future mine plan.

According to Sprott the low grade could mined by a future SLC involving a very long mine life. They are suggesting the high grade will have a life of mine for the WDU will be around 14 years. Absolutely fantastic without the SLC.

Where’s that come from. They’re not connected. There maybe some weak ore in between but not high grade that is in the crest of both anticlines. The LLU strata is continuous but has been folded by 2 anticlines and then 2 fluid pathways have filled these anticlines.

The main dome has a more rounded anticline whereas the West Dome has a more squashed pointy anticline.

Shaun has stated the West Dome deeps is open to North, South , West , up and down anyway bar east.

The eastern side of the anticline of the West dome is described today as being inconsistent so don’t expect too much from the east side.

The high grade at the top of the anticline is really super stuff, the best drill intercept for some reason is not shown on the sections it’s terrific grades with copper at 8.57% with a 90% recovery that is extremely high. This high grade is in big zones along a 700m crest of the anticline which is open north and south.

It’s an extremely important orebody.

In this interview he mentions the continued expansion of the A, M and ESC reefs under the main dome. The M reefs are numerous all the way down to the LLU.

These are the same reefs under the West Dome pit down to the West Dome Deeps.

Tier 1s keep on giving. Telfer was a Tier 1 till Depletion but keeps on giving. 🙂

They also mention the stockwork between the Pit and the Deeps, this is the zone under the Main Dome that the sub level caving took out.

On the RNS you can see a pink zone the MVR domain this is the main mineralisation zone at Telfer. There’s a small red zone top left this is where the Stage 7 is heading for and maybe the Saddle between 2 of the West Dome pits.

The red zone on the right I believe is a bit far from the Stage 8 extension but the extension goes down into the MVR.

West Dome Deeps could be 10 years life.

Then a sub level cave 10 years +.

Loads of life in the old girl yet 🤣

Paddy is quite right it is a major separate orebody.

They stated in the admin document analogue to the Main Dome.

In my presentations at Derby and Stroud I highlighted this was the case. Difference between the 2 is the Main Dome has a more rounded anticline and the West Dome is more sharper so the likely hood of less ore trapped in the West Dome.

Shaun quoted 3.1moz retrieved from the Main Dome so I would estimate the West Dome being lower but the sharpness of the anticline looks to have concentrated the mineralisation over a longer length and higher grades.

From the section on the RNS you can see the sandstone LLU with siltstones above and below, this was described in a 2014 report as being low grade breccia pods. They’ve reported some of the intercepts through the bottom layer that have passed the cut offs.

What you see on that section is only high grade ore there’s a lot of low grade tonnage yet to come.

Ggp have applied for another licence E52/4432 which is to the south of the Mount Egerton licence E52/4362.

In between these is the historic gold mine Hibernian.

Artemis have surrendered a large chunk of their licence next to Havieron in the NE

The 5moz wasn’t mined it was a material reduction in the estimation which was reduced from 18moz to 13moz estimate. There’s been far more removed since that date. Shaun told us it had produced 13moz by 2022 when he came to London.

The phrase that you posted “ long term metal prices “ these are always lower than actual and were way below the metal prices at the time, this had an adverse effect on the ore reserves and gold equivalent value and reduced the MRE estimate.

Telfer has had a chequered past in 2002 they had exhausted the extensive oxide ores and the mine was suspended until a solution of what to do with the sulphide ores. In 2014/15 they were thinking of selling it as the metal prices made a lot of Telfer ores unviable, the sell process was put on hold until they decided to extend the West Dome pit.

Newcrest put it out there that Telfer was on its last legs.

The Telfer mine has been unloved for nearly 20 years as Shaun stated “ the best time to own Telfer since 2005” just before the SLC started.

32moz would include all the unrecoverable gold that will end up in tailings, ie 75% recovery rate will equal 25% to the tailings.

Upto Shaun now to prove all the doubters wrong

Newmont did sell it, they went for low hanging fruits.

These big miners don’t want to scratch around they only want big stuff.

Telfer would have had to compete for capex monies with 10 other mines it would have remained unloved. Ggp can spend their time and money building it up, you heard him say that about the way the labour force are excited and motivated.

The West Dome deeps could play a big part in achieving 20moz and also the rising gold price will bring more ore into the equation.

The 32moz at Telfer is out there.

A map on Rincons licences shows it with 1m ton of copper.

I believe it’s shown on Antipa’s as well but that’s just from memory.

Blackhills is showing 46koz and that is from an historical drilling programme on some maps

I haven’t seen any sizes of O’Callaghans yet apart from on Portogeo site talking about the geology of 1300x900m but I don’t think that’s the mineralisation 🤷‍♂️

Might not have been big enough for Newcrest but should fit in with Ggp with the copper price nearing its highs, just the cost of getting it out and dealing with it could be an issue.

Camp dome might be a more financial alternative as it’s shallower. Around 50,000t copper

For Ggp to be able to recover 5moz from what’s left at Telfer would be a dream come true. Anymore will have to let the grandkids worry about it

You can never say never when the gold price is increasing so much. 32moz may or may not be achievable, all the satellite deposits would all need to be included. The biggest zone that could give rise to this estimate is the West Dome deeps and the zone above it under the pit. This is an analogue of the main dome deeps albeit a bit smaller.

The 32moz would include irretrievable gold ore and unrecovered ore going to tailings.

The 20moz has been estimated and includes uneconomical ore as at 2012

There is a report from 2012 saying Newcrest wouldn’t take this on without an off take partner and says it may be too small for Newcrest to take on.

Costs for the mine and processing then was estimated at A$4-500m.

Exciting prospect if they can utilise one train at Telfer not sure if that’s feasible but there’s $1.5bn worth of copper involved.
