Any second decline will need to be for a different operation than the stoping although it could help a bit at the top levels, I would have though a sub level caving operation under the hanging wall of the Dyke.

To get 3mt a year from the stoping in this orebody is going to be a big achievement especially as it gets lower down.

That would depend on where the second decline is heading for. If it’s just to reach the top of the ore body then no 2-3 years but if it’s for a railveyor or conveyor then that might need to get down to 1400m.

If you look at Carrapateena conveyor decline it zig zags to the orebody and then away from it and back again numerous times so it could be a progressive construction over many years.

Minyari will never reach half of Havieron reserves let alone resource. Havieron at the moment is only a starter mine, most of Minyari ore in 5 years will be gone as most of it is in the top of the Minyari pit and 95% of ore there is in that pit.

That 2.3moz is a resource not reserve

10 year mine life at 130koz is 1.3moz and then recovery off of that probably 1moz reserve figure, the cobalt part of that is unlikely to be achieved at their quoted price in the calculations so needs to be removed.

Havieron reserve will jump to around 4.3moz with the June MRE .

The Decline will cost more than the Haul road but the Environmental approvals to cut through numerous sand dunes will be onerous, at the moment it’s very circuitous and is a lot longer than the quoted length.

The magnetic surveys from early were giving false readings at Havieron the sands dunes were masking or changing the readings. Callum used another geologists technique to remove the masking to see underneath and spot the orebody.

The MT survey used recently identified the orebody as it can read really deep signatures, whereas the ones you mentioned are limited down to about 1200m .

The report on the West dome deeps from 2013 (I think ) shows two vague orebodies one high grade the other low grade, they must have used downhole survey techniques to identify these anomalies as they’re too deep for ground level methods. The MT surveys were not used at that time as far as I know .

Shaun says it was the best grades at Telfer.

Chatting with Goldworm this morning he thinks it could be 5g/t , I hope it’s a little more but might be too optimistic. The breccia seems to be surrounding the high grade making it more like Havieron.

Is this our half of Havieron Shaun’s been on about for ages.

A strike direction is not what you asked, you asked has Telfer mine got a strike length which is not the same thing.

Telfer has in fact 3 fluid pathways coming up from below and trapped in the anticline by a fault line. The fluids are intermittent between pits and therefore the strike lengths are immaterial at Telfer. What matters how far the fluid has travelled down each reef which is different in over 50 reefs.

The remark by Shaun that the vents won’t start until after the FS is announced looks like they are not panicking to get Havieron ore out. The FS is due in H2, if it comes in Dec that will push Havieron ore back but will allow works to be paid for from Telfer ore

Stage 7 cutback at 9mt is at least one year’s processing for one train.

Stage 8 is smaller no tonnage announced yet but the grades are higher according to Shaun and not so much waste rock to strip.

Main Dome pit cutback looks to dwarf stage 7, I’m guessing here but could take both trains a year or more to process.

Underground tonnages likely to increase a lot with the inclusion of the VSC and ESC.

Therefore I’m suggesting and only my opinion the Havieron ore could be delayed to make sure they get it right and provide a way of increasing those tonnages.

I would prefer a railveyor rather than a conveyor but we will have to wait and see.

Remember 3mt is only one third of a years production for one train whether it’s from Havieron or somewhere else.

Fax strike lengths do not give you a direction to mine, they indicate what length an anomaly is, whether that’s gravity or magnetic. This then gives geologists a defined area to survey.

It’s drilling and Kriging estimations which form resources and reserves and eventual mining plan.

Strike lengths are not needed on mines, it’s all about tonnages and grades.

Strike lengths are necessarily mineralised it could be a magnetic response, be careful of that phrase.

The more they find at Telfer the slower Havieron start up can be, this would allow Havieron infrastructures built from Telfer revenues but also allow time for a second Decline enabling a doubling of tonnage out of the mine. This would negate any need for additional ores from elsewhere and utilise one train.

A strip back is the term used to remove the waste rock to gain access to the mineralised ore and form benching

This heading is about the stage 7 cutback not Antipa.

Greatland are on the cusp of a wave, stage 7 has just increased the mine life and stage 8 will improve on that. When they get to the Main Dome cut back you’re talking about mega tonnages. 3:1 strip back I believe Shaun said, so capex won’t be that much with each previous cutback paying for the next.

The Mine life extensions have started with this stage 7 cutback expected completion date between April 2026 and November 2026 depending on start date.

That’s a mine life now of 17-24 months.

Think you need to be realistic, 10moz will be a lot to find, I am hopeful that a high case 2.6moz will be found from the exploration targets.

The exploration potential like the West Dome Deeps is still not public knowledge, so no idea what’s there.

I’m still excited by the potential at Telfer but tempering my enthusiasm.

I fear you are confusing people with what is there, you need to forget about historical volumes and concentrate on what might be there now. The geology is very complex and is punctured by a huge bulk caving void. Recovery factors and mining techniques have totally changed since 2011.

The 10 years mine life Shaun has talked about in the West Dome Deep has nothing to do with the 2011 report as the only drill results entering it were not reported till 2013/14
