I don’t get this interest in Ggp buying Antipa, it can’t be because they have a lot of land as Ggp have just retrenched a little by selling some licences. Shaun has told us many times that Minyari is too small, it doesn’t make much economic sense to transport their weak ore to Telfer, 3mt per year won’t keep one train going.

Parklands is closer if it’s viable Ggp would more likely buy that or just joint venture on that specific project.

Ggp have more than enough to cope with without overstretching themselves.

6 months ago we were looking at the exploration potential in the admissions document, my thoughts then I held back for the Theale, Derby and Stroud meetings.

I think a lot of people were pleasantly surprised at what I saw then.

I think a lot of folks will still be smiling after Saturdays meet. 🙂

There was no such talk of Rio taking Telfer, if they were they were just rumours.

My cousin discussed with me about this and sternly said Rio are not interested in gold projects especially Telfer. He should know he used to be a director.

Telfer is still not a Tier 1 if you look at Newmonts quarterly results there’s a list of production figures and at 90koz it comes nowhere near and the mine life is too short. There’s still a lot to prove up at Telfer.

Remember Havieron at the moment is not effected by rising gold and copper prices , there is an economic NSR high cut off of 30g/t, if there is a change in prices won’t effect this. The revenues of course will be higher. When they start exploring the weaker oval shape then yes higher prices will effect these but that’s someway off.

Most of our meet ups are full within a day of organising without advertising, the Waverley at Sheffield is a big pub and can accommodate more of us.

If Newmont had retained Telfer it would have been bottom of the queue for capex investment as their 10 other Tier 1 mines like Cadia are taking huge amounts of investment. They may have put it on care and maintenance with that tailings issued.

They had $6bn in debt after buying Newcrest I believe they have that down to $4bn.

The shares they have left Wyloo have an option on them, so they will be sold eventually to service that debt pile.

I don’t think you will find any bad manners at these meetings, it has all been very pleasant so far. Every meeting has been really good and friendly, and I can’t wait for the next one at Stroud on the 24th June, unfortunately that one is full and there is a waiting list. If you can’t make the Sheffield one there’s probably no others planned till October or November time.

That big rectangle is the leach pad, it’s very high. It has controlled drainage into a ditch on this side of it running to the pond on the left. That dark square.

That’s a great photo, right in the centre can be seen the ground slumping over the top of the SLC void in the Main dome benching.

Stuart asked the question whether the 2 pits would go into one, the answer is doubtful but the Main pit could deepen at the north end or to the right of that photo.

On the right of that photo can be seen a darker pile of ore this is the ore from the underground conveyor ROM pad. The conveyor from there can just be seen going off to the plant.

The next results aren’t till middle of July.

If you use last quarters figures and an expected increase in average prices the increase in free cash flow could be as high as A$50m.

Now the Prospectus is out I can start preparing for my Presentation next Saturday 31st May from 1pm at the Waverley near Meadowhall. I’m sure you will all find it useful for those attending. There’s some lovely people about to chat to with similar interests.

From the West Dome Deeps in February and today’s prospectus I believe they will be targeting the stockwork below the high grade LLU strata and some areas of the LLU within reach. The extent though is another thing from that drill drive they are still too far away to reach. It’s more than likely still open to the north, south, west and depth. Judging by what they know about the stockwork in the Main Dome under the LLU the mineralisation should get weaker at depth.

As far we know the LLU in the Main Dome has mineralisation still open to the north. If you look at the latest images of the LLU it appears to have grown to the north.

I thought it was a very thorough document, I’ve been wading through it.

Glad Newmont share involvement is now clear, Shaun said he was going to do that at the Townhall. It was a concern with that level of involvement and how they would dispose of them in a timely manner, no worries now the Aussies will get them. Their remaining shares Wyloo have the option on. I was hoping Wyloo would have done similar but that wasn’t to be.

Fantastic move by Shaun to set that company up to deal with the shares 👏

I didn’t see much change on the production / exploration side. There were a couple of things.

They’ve showed us getting back Teach which they surrendered.im not sure whether this will go to Aventine resources in the sale before October.

Skylar is now on the back burner after only finding weak anomalous targets ie Bootstrap. This may get surrendered.

The other licences in the Rio jv that will be drilled in the coming 6 months include Chilly, Atlantis and Teague. Basel wasn’t mentioned.

Ernest Giles is also planned for a drilling campaign.

At Telfer they say they are back drilling the West Dome deeps and continuing the new drive to it.

They’ve clarified that the VSC will not be sub level caved now as the mineralisation gets weaker as it goes down but stated that it is still open to the north. That last bit is in line with my research. If the LLU is still going north then so will the stockwork below and the reefs above should do as well.

The tailings dam raise has increased the capacity of TSF8 for another 12 months and they will be starting stage 3 to provide capacity till Havieron comes on stream.

Great to see the Stage 7 cutback only costing A$4m I would have thought a lot more.

So much going on, I have a lot to say at the Meadowhall event a week tomorrow 🙂.

Any hub and spoke will be referring to Greatlands 100% owned projects. The only other projects will firstly be Antipa if it’s viable still years away from any production.

Let Antipa spend their money on it not ours.

Then theirs Minyari, that’s not a project Shaun has his eye on, he alluded to this in London a few times now. In fact it looks doubtful they will be using Telfer, their plans for their access road goes further to the NW of Telfer as if heading towards the highway to Port Hedland, it’s suggesting their own plant.

Ggp has too much to look at on their own licences especially around Telfer. There’s so much for them to look at and explore it could take years to catch up.

They haven’t looked at the Main Dome open pit yet and they’re only looking at the east ramp, I can see the potential at the north end too.

Then there’s what Shaun mentioned on the north side of the Main dome SLC operation and the potential SLC of the VSC area and continued expansion of the A reefs and ESC.

With all this we don’t need other companies ores.

Ernie bringing that wishful thinking here is a hope too far. Ggp have got too much on their plate to be worried about what Wishbone have.

I posted on that chat board a couple of years ago, that they have nothing at Redsetter and boy did I get some abuse. It’s going to take them a lot of money to prove anything up, better your money than ours.

Ggp have so much to explore on their own licences to worry about others, we’ve just started down near Big Tree there’s 6 holes there, that’s just the start down there. Wishbone have a tiny triangular licence nearby, not going to find a lot there .

I’m not concerned at all what will happen with the ASX, I’m more excited about what’s happening at Telfer. The workforce seem enthused by what is happening, like Stu Hinds remark about “Never ever seen it so busy”.

There’s a lot happening Stu sent me a photo from a contact and asked what it was, a Schramm C685, a big RC drilling rig suitable for hydrological drilling. I assume that’s going to the West Dome to test the water in the West Dome Deeps.

Other remarks about dredging the tailings for testing, this could be for 2 things:- firstly to test for moisture content in the tailings for use in the paste filling at Telfer A reefs and secondly they’ve been using suitable tailings to raise the dam walls on Tailings lake 8.

There’s so much happening lot of rigs spinning at Telfer. They may have finished near Parklands and now at Big Tree on the SE licences according to Paddysat.

They are certainly out to prove SRK wrong in their assumptions that the 6 exploration targets wouldn’t keep the plant going on their own. The first 2 in the West Dome Pit certainly have, next will be the ESC and they’re still drilling it. The VSC will be big news when it lands extending the SLC operation. The Main Dome pit hasn’t been touched yet.

Very exciting period in the run up to Havieron’s Feasibility Study and the Decision to Mine. Will derisk the project for many investors.
