My niece lives in Cognac and with her husband buy and do up properties. They had a phone call from a French man who had 2 derelict terrace houses and wanted €50k they thought and offered €20k. No no no he said and went away, 6 months later he came back and said yes. The 2 bed they just rented out for €800 pm. The 5 bed still refurbishing. I know the tax laws are complicated they seem to be on top of them. This must be a market for future expansion plans of any house builder

Hi TR I think the new policy of holding the special divi in the next 5 years and increasing the int/final to 250m is the right thing to do best of both worlds. I still expecting the next int divi to be 3p+

Hi Trent I think the EU are too weak to stand up to Trump where money is concerned, very weak against Putin. The EU in its present form looks very weak. I did vote remain mainly through freedom of movement for us to the continent especially to see my niece in Cognac. Stayed in a proper brandy house in middle of nowhere wow that was some brandy. Hi SJ my friend does a lot of cruises where he teaches dancing and gets a free cruise apart from paying agent fees. He just been around the Med and showed me the Irish bar in Dubrovnik don't know how he found it, very tiny street. Unfortunately he drinks Guinness. He now off round Britain. The Norway one full of Zimmer frames not much dancing ATB:))

Hi Tom been chatting to a friend in the pub tonight he's into property development and a bit of a sceptic on TW. He hadn't heard the recent news of the increase in divis, the margins, no pension deficit, the cash in hand,sites in London doing well. When he left he gave me the impression of buying tomorrow I think I converted him.

New manager at my local. Not eaten there recently but bands on all weekend could see a turnaround in fortunes. Use to bring in big revenues to Marstons is it a sign that the share price has reached its lows, I certainly hope so

Hi Tom you going to wear that fence out. The sp is about where we should all have expected with a 5% drop. I see PSN x divi on 14th do you expect that to drop by £1.10 or the £2.35 total divi. Think I getting out before and take the profit and hope this stays at this price.ATB :))

A lot of share prices are suffering at the moment with political issues effecting the markets. Tw has held up quite well considering I have to admit I sold a few not many when it hit my target of 205 but intend to buy back on any lows, this will be between tomorrow and 1st Aug when the half years results will be out. Hopefully increase in house sales, profits and forward order book will propel this share a lot higher, also the announcement of the future interim divi which I would expect a minimum of 3p. Had a couple of good weeks for divis Tw, Iwg, itv, Lloyds, this week Witherspoon 4p, Nahl 10.6 and the best Croda 46p. Buying pot :))

Hi Farmertally nice to see you here. I have been here a long time Wolverhampton and Dudley days after my wife bought in, dizzy heights of £11, have always paid good divis. I did sell a lot here £1.80 not so long ago but I always get back in case I can make the agm at the wolves ground, the foods a lot better than in the pubs. I haven't used my discount card for a while as its not on the drinks. I normally get my Tw divis and stick it in here. The beer side is great at the moment and big profits coming from them, not sure about what the food side will achieve bit sceptical

I can't really see this being taken over as a whole but it could be asset stripped. Marstons have offloaded premises before and to sell off the pubs and restaurants would probably make sense as did I read they sell 90% of beers etc from other outlets not their own. Would be disastrous move for all of us with pubs closing eventually. What company would take over so many. Remember the spirit company went to Greene King in the end. I hope it can remain as a whole and recover the sp losses, one reason - I like going to the agm
