NiptSteve, not sure these contracts are to do with the National Microbiology framework. These are for pillar 2 requirements over just a few months period. Not too sure if Ygen were involved in these contracts, maybe they were, who knows, but I doubt Ygen could handle that amount in a couple of month timescale anyway.

can't see why they should use those useless Chinese lft's. A recipe for disaster if they go away from pcr and sequencing. Lft are just not good and reliable enough, no matter what the makers say imo.

Hoping they will bring it forward a little with the expected good news at the same time. Stellar covid income and upgrade in forecast, to name but two. All on top of more framework contracts in the near term, hopefully.

I wouldn't bank on UKAS accreditation anytime soon as they are well behind with so many companies looking to get onboard. That's not to say it couldn't happen, but I do know they are struggling to cope with all the registrations. Either way it shouldn't be too much longer.

yes it is very important, especially where covid testing is concerned. With all the bad press about rip off companies and poor testing it would be a good idea to let everyone know that Ygen are one of a very few outfits who have full UKAS accreditation.

apparently MHC will be getting their UKAS accreditation on Monday according to a poster on the MHC site. I wonder when Ygen will get theirs, unless they already have and didn't bother to rns it?

andy, probably won't see the light of day. They are just fishing for money to get more funding. It is like when you hear of a great new cancer breakthrough, unfortunately most are just pitching for funds, just like this one imv. There have been many 'new' products that have been touted as the best thing since....and never got anywhere. Heathrow made a big deal of breath testing ages ago,..where is it?? There are plenty of other 'ideas' that have come and gone too.

Hemo, yes the new jobs must mean they expect quite a bit more on the testing front, especially if they drop a govt contract for testing. No, I don't believe they have Ukas yet, as I know Ukas are well behind due to the amount of companies trying to get full accreditation. They are hoping for the end of August I think.

regards the US deals, it was my question about 'numerous' US deals in the presentation Q6 (44m.40s). His answer. 'we did them, we've converted them, deals done in the first quarter and now in deployment and launch phases'. I have followed up and asked why only one had an rns. I expect there is some technical reason why they didn't, like they haven't actually put final pen to paper yet maybe? I will hopefully get a reply soon.
