RE: Novacyt - Moving Forwards8 Sep 2021 15:44
Porky, - Did a bit of digging wrt James McCarthy's experience, and I would not agree he has 'significant stateside experience'.
However, that description fits GM's experience well.
Anthony Dyer no longer has the role of Chief Corporate Development Officer (CCDO).
He has not been replaced, so the CCDO role disappears, - or does it?
I have no basis for what follows, but am asking myself whether stars are aligning here.
Post retirement GM might perform the CCDO role at the behest and with the willing involvement of DA and Guillermo Raimondo.

About Guillermo
As an experienced international executive with a unique combination of people and project management, business and result orientation, and high strategic orientation and execution capabilities, I am always seeking to excel individual, team and business performance.
My background and success in full blown P&L operations in a variety of businesses (commoditized fast-moving products to disruptive and innovative solutions), markets and scale of organizations (country, regional, and global operations) allows me to adapt and drive change according to business needs.
I’m being recognized for creating and executing processes and procedures that improve business operations. I also have a strong ability to guide tasks from concept to completion ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-target results.
As a leader I focus on coaching, developing and leading individuals and teams to achieve and beat established objectives and standards.

"Novacyt has also appointed Guillermo Raimondo to the newly formed, non-Board role of Chief Commercial Officer to lead the Company's global commercial operations.
Previously, Guillermo had a successful career at Siemens Healthineers where his last two roles were as Regional President and more recently Executive Vice President Global Marketing & Sales"

So I don't see Guillermo Raimondo being a natural deal maker, nor being hired to be so, but I do see GM being successful at filling that role, as he has done many times in USA before.
IMO GM might be the person with sufficient experience and contacts, who may try to create the deals and joint ventures our company requires in USA or elsewhere, ie become our next CCDO whilst also being semi-retired.
Yes AFAIK GM is retiring, but an opportunity exists for DA and GM and to generate significant synergies with receptive CEO's in (primarily) USA.
