Earlier today on this thread, GM came in for some stick as a poor CEO.

It was not always the case that GM was not forthcoming with information.

He was previously head of Lab21, when Novacyt bought Lab21 - subsequently becoming CEO of Novacyt and Lab21.

Those wishing to research GM's leadership style in earlier years could do worse than to look at the bite sized press releases from 2010 onwards concerning Lab21, and from 2016 onwards Novacyt & Lab21:

It shows GM was not shy in the past of promoting his companies and was free and easy with news concerning new products / deals / partnerships / staff hires, and MANY buyouts.

To me this shows that GM's current lack of Shareholder updates with respect to current revenue and sales (and now new product launches) is deliberate, and is being performed to starve predators of info with which to make a viable bid he cannot dismiss easily.

The side effect is a very low share price, and it will be interesting to see how David Allmond's leadership style changes this come 18.10.2021.

I don't subscribe to the school of thinking that it is GM's task to hand the company over to DA's control with the DHSC dispute ended, - the ADR process is ongoing until the talking stops.

Porky thought there was a 120 day process he posted on 30th July - which would have completed about now, but it depends when you start counting days; - when the parties disagreed, or when they made the disagreement public.

However, I expect DA to place high explosive beneath the marketing team.

I am hoping that Ajan Reginald has persuaded GM to join or start the Dad's Army of semi-retired staff that may consider working as a techie in the back room and R&D functions.

No such offer available to marketing retirees ;-)

Just read page 32-34 of the software ag presentation.
Things might be happening fast at IT-IS, and I look forward to instrument (and assay) customers getting much better support experiences soon when their instruments are connected real time to Novacyt and other partners.

I like this part on page 32 best:

My view is that IT-IS is embarking on 'Internet of things' projects, to make data immediately available to a number of users.

ie
1 SNP-sig user test results can be collected by others via internet.

2 If instruments fall out of calibration, head office will be notified and equipment serviced (perhaps at least partly from a remote location).

3 Customer support enabled through such connectivity.

IT-IS will have a competitive advantage over other instrument manufacturers after implementing IoT connectivity, but I suspect some manufacturers have similar plans.
IT-IS will have to be quick to generate IoT advantage.

I am a big fan of the way that GM has got delivery of new products to market ASAP so right.

This is an example of the other side of the coin.

Who knew we were providing free samples?

I know it is just a come-on for a fireside chat with our sales team, -

but there won't be many little chats without the OXYGEN of PUBLICITY!!

How much business do management think one free sample is going to bring in.

One is better than none, but not to announce it to prospective customers?

How did marketeers think this offer would be found?

How long does this offer last? etc etc

Just wait 'til David Allmond starts cranking the marketing wheels, - Marketing will get a HUGE kick up the bum.

In GM's place I hope we have in Ajan Reginald, a professional who is as wide awake and product savvy as GM.

Before you consider SH's much better off after the presentation than before info wise, - perhaps you might consider reviewing all those questions that were sent in, and identifying those that you did not get a satisfactory answer to.

I agree that GM has been using the DHSC dispute to hide Novacyt from bids.
IMO he could maintain the dispute if he has the opportunity, buying time to build the company to a stronger and stronger position.

IMO when competitive advantage hurts the opposition in home markets, CEO's can see the writing on the wall. Those companies that can afford a takeover start planning.
The recent release of info in the presentation / half year update etc has been a big help.
I don't quite think we are at this point yet, but however the DHSC dispute ends, there is an increased chance of a buyout.
