I feel the same. Sold some 'banker' shares this morning that have no hope of a short term rebound and doubled up on AMER

Looking at a couple of others in my ISA in dire need of a vet.

(I know, unfortunately mine died last year.)

Sold a couple of dogs at a loss. Topped up here and the gain is already bigger than the loss.

Cadell: I'm in the same position, seeing black for the first time today after too long in the red.

All of us here have our own portfolios to manage and trade to our best advantage. I have a few other dogs in mine but I won't be bailing out of AMER to feed them.

Just checked on MSN money: the highest SP shown is 64.50 on 29/08/14.

pp - I agree and believe AMER is accumulating value whilst flying under the radar in preparation for an eventual takeover.

was my view when I bought in with the sp rising at 36p (remember that?)
I still have that view and believe that the recent RNS marks a watershed from which we can progress nicely towards that end and I intend to be there when it arrives.
Having said that I'd feel a lot more comfortable, as I think many others like me will, when the sp clears my averaged down price. (now just under 17p)

I haven't been on here very long but have learnt a lot from all of the knowledge shared by people here, so thank you all.

3rd RNS today: New chairman bought 40,000 shares at what looks like near the bottom of the market today. Maybe now we'll get some good news.

Stolen, how? Many of my former colleagues bought Dragon Oil at a time when I had no spare funds: at sp 2p-4p.

Not bad though: looks like Occidental Andina fell 2.5%.
Either way the deal seems to have been noticed with AMER on the front foot.

It seems to me like the BoD are happy to keep the SP low so that the company can save money buying back its shares at the lower price. Does this make sense?
