Then tried to find the spes bona company linked to borehole drilling to find that spes bona is a very popular name in southern Africa for all manner of things from Mahindra dealers to a geological area of gold bearing ore. The one possible article that could relate to the relevant company was a covered reservoir construction near Cape Town.

Fortitude, I also looked at Martin Eales's track record at Rainbow Rare Earth and was impressed: impressed enough to buy some shares in it.

I feel that both KZG and IRON are at pivotal stages of their development.
KZG awaiting full jorc and water pipeline and IRON with a new CEO who will, I hope, guide the company into production.
When these stars align I believe both companies will shine.
Kazera Trading is an unexpected (by me at least) bonus that I believe to be playing to LJ's strengths. So I'm expecting great things from this direction.

Fortitude - I did read your recommendations re Barkby but I decided to keep topping up and averaging down on Amer instead. Lucky I did as I would have suffered a huge loss instead of my 2% gain (Initially bought in at 37p)

Chaco may well have been a shell company at 60p but then it became Amerisur an oil E & P company and the shares fell to a low of 9p on GC's watch, to be sold at 19.21p, less than a third of when it was a shell.
However, we are on the same page re. KZG and IRON as their potential is enormous.
What I meant was that GC is a big fish in the small UK pond where he is clearly more successful than on the global stage, up to now. I look forward to revising this view as things progress.

Fortitude - you forgot to mention the epic fail that was Amerisur, where even the buyers acknowledge that it is worth twice what they're paying.
Seems to me that his UK network is as you described but worldwide he's a big fish in a small pond and failed miserably when up against the big boys.
The SP's of both KZG and IRON are languishing in the doldrums exacerbated by their leader's policy of poor dissemination of news that fails to engage and enthuse investors.
I sincerely hope that your prediction for 2020 plays out as I hold a few million shares in both and am under water with both.
I still believe (or certainly hope) that both companies have the potential for great success but the style of their management is a great hindrance to the sp, which, as seen at AMER and elsewhere, is what ultimately defines the value of the company not the potential value of the resource.

Indeed MSBigview, GC's communication blackout strategy is seriously undermining confidence in the companies that he chairs. The resultant low performance of their sp makes them ripe for the lowball takeover offer based on a premium of the sp and no amount of window dressing, it seems, can inspire interested companies to pay for the true worth of the company as witnessed at AMER.
I'm not suggesting that this is the only reason we're at these levels but is certainly a common factor in the poor performance of his non UK based companies.
The KZG sp needs to be a lot higher when the for sale sign, I believe inevitably, goes up or we'll suffer the same fate here.
